The Parable of the Unforgiving Servant

A parbola do mau empregado

One day a king decided to call in his officials

and ask them to give an account of what they
owed him.

Um dia, um rei decidiu acertar as contas com

os seus servos.

As he was doing this, one official

was brought in who owed him
sixty million silver coins. But he
didnt have any money to pay
what he owed. The king ordered
him to be sold, along with his
wife and children and all he
owned, in order to pay the debt.
Assim que ele comeou, um
homem que lhe devia
milhes de moedas de prata
foi levado at ele. O homem,
entretanto, no tinha como
pagar a dvida. O rei, ento,
mandou que ele fosse
vendido, juntamente com
sua mulher, seus filhos e
tudo o que possua. Dessa
forma a sua dvida seria
paga.

The official got down on his knees and began

begging, Have pity on me, and I will pay you
every cent I owe! The king felt sorry for him
and let him go free. He even told the official
that he did not have to pay back the money.

O devedor, porm, se ajoelhou aos ps do

rei e implorou: Tenha pacincia comigo
e eu lhe pagarei tudo que lhe devo. O rei
sentiu pena daquele servo e perdoou-lhe
a dvida, deixando-o ir embora.

As the official was leaving, he happened to meet

another official, who owed him a hundred silver
coins. So he grabbed the man by the throat. He
started choking him and said, Pay me what you
owe!
The man got down on his knees and began
begging, Have pity on me, and I will pay you
back. But the first official refused to have pity.
Instead, he went and had the other official put in
jail until he could pay what he owed.

Quando o servo saiu, encontrou um outro servo

que lhe devia cem moedas de prata. Ele agarrou
este outro servo pelo pescoo e, sufocando-o,
dizia: Pague-me o que voc me deve.
Este outro servo, ajoelhando-se aos ps dele,
implorou: Tenha pacincia comigo e eu
pagarei tudo o que lhe devo. Ele, entretanto,
no concordou. Ao contrrio, jogou o servo na
priso at que ele pagasse o que lhe devia.

When some other officials found out what

had happened, they told the king what the
first official did. The king called the first
official back in and said, Youre an evil man!
When you begged for mercy, I said you did
not have to pay back a cent. Dont you think
you should show pity to someone else, as I
did to you? The king then ordered the official
to be punished until he could pay back
everything he owed.
Quando os outros servos viram o que tinha
acontecido, eles foram procura do seu
senhor para lhe contar o que tinha
acontecido. Ento o senhor chamou o
primeiro servo e lhe disse: Voc um mau
servo! Voc me implorou e eu perdoei toda a
sua dvida para comigo. Por que voc no
teve pena do outro servo assim como eu tive
pena de voc? O senhor ento mandou que
aquele servo fosse castigado at que lhe
pagasse toda a dvida.

Everyone makes mistakes and

needs forgiveness. Be kind and
forgive each other, just like
God forgives you.

Todos cometem erros e

precisam de perdo de vez em
quando. Tenha compaixo uns
dos outros. Perdoem uns aos
outros como Deus perdoou a
vocs.
