To help create “What Second Life can be,” Primtings contributes

to the Prime sLiterary Initiative to bring the arts to virtual worlds
to help make a better virtual world… because art humanizes the
globe.

To explore how traditional 2D art can be directly adapted to the virtual
world of Second Life by different SL artists. Primtings presents innova-
tions in virtual world avant-garde art with each exhibit adding more than
just a new 3rd dimension, but often also interactivity, and interpretations
only possible in the virtual world, as envisioned by a range of master new
media artists.

To share the wealth of RL art history through famous paintings with SL

residents, in a uniquely SL-way. Primtings educates its visitors in both RL
art and SL artistic techniques, through informative kiosks associated with
each exhibit and Primtings.com website content.

 Thousands of SL residents have experienced Primtings since its

founding in 2008—all through word of mouth!
 RL Schools from K-12 to higher education have brought their
students and faculty to Primtings, through computer lab activi-
ties, on-screen presentations, and extracurricular assignments.
Goal: To raise tier for our island on SL, for the upcoming year
beginning in March 2010.

In Second Life: To be able to expand

each exhibit to an entire sim, such
that one might truly be able to “walk
into the world of a painting”—or live
in one!

In “Real Life”: To be able to create an

entire museum of 3d recreations of
2D paintings in “real life.”
