Congratulations on your decision to apply for an officer position for the


Cypress Creek Key Club! Note to applicants the position as officer is a yearlong term and commitment. You must be willing to actively give your time and
effort to Cypress Creek Key Club and regularly attend general and board
meetings. Please fill out the following form and turn it in on March 4 th after the
meeting. Interviews will be held after the meeting, so if you cannot stay after
for your interview please let us know in advance. You will also give a brief 1-2
minute speech during the meeting about why you want the position, your
involvement with Key Club, and why members should vote for you, so be
prepared! Votes from the general assembly will account for 50% of the
decision, and interviews will account for the remaining 50%. Good luck!

Officer Duties
President

Coordinate both Officer & General meetings


Create General Meeting Agendas & keep a record of all meeting agendas
Attend Presidential Council Meetings monthly and Kiwanis Luncheons
Be present at most events
Delegate an adequate amount of officers to be present at each event
Plan and fundraise for the District Convention
Plan the end of the school year gathering
Contact APs to RSVP for Freshman Orientation to start recruitment
Pick Members of the month
Set up Interclubs with other Key Clubs
Keep in frequent contact with sponsor
Find the next Freshman Representative for the upcoming year

Send out Remind 101 announcements for upcoming General Meetings


Check up on officers and remind them of upcoming deadlines
Serve as a liaison between our home club and clubs from other schools be able to network with
presidents and officers from other clubs

Vice President

This is the second-most important officer position that follows the presidency
Important that you go to events as often as possible

Write an article monthly

Assist in making presentations for meetings

Hold meetings if President is absent

Makes sign in/sign out sheets at volunteer events

Assist president in any way

Treasurer

Work with president to collect membership applications and dues


Update Membership Update Center when new members join

Assists in planning and carrying out club fundraisers.

Be able to contact sponsoring storeowners/managers to get a fundraiser approved

Make and submit thorough monthly newsletter about club activity


Be present at many to take pictures. Delegate other officers to take pictures if you will not be at
an event.
