The school has students from 17 different countries, many of whom are just beginning to learn English, Bach of the students created a self portrait out of fbric ‘which we dyed and painted to reflect specific customary clothing. All of the portraits were collaged and stitched ‘onto one mural, which will hang permanently in the school Tam mos inspired by people — the stories they tell the activity of ‘engaging together, the gesture and posture ofthe human form and facial ‘expressions ako write and draw as part of my creative practice, and my “writing often makesa metaphorical ‘connection between people's actions and elements of nature | just finished a year long artist, residency at Craft Alliance, a community art centre in St. Louis, and [ now have several projects that 'm working on, including teaching a cass ‘on community-based practices in art and ecological art.
