CCSE WEEK
CCSE WEEK is a weeklong celebration of the College of Computer Studies and
Engineering.
THEME: Knowledge is the only logical solution to conflict; Intelligence must be used for the
benefit of societyCCSE influencing the future.
OBJECTIVES

To develop social relationship, leadership, teamwork, sportsmanship and equity in the


organization through various team building activities including Amazing TRACE and
basketball tournament.
To showcase the projects of Computer Science, Information Technology, and Engineering
Students of TRACE College.
To inspire, measure, encourage, improve and develop the intellectual IT skills of high
school students through inter-school quiz bee and programming competition.
To extend the knowledge in computer hardware and networking through Fastest
Computer Build and Fastest Network Competition. (with pre contest seminar between
November 24 29 please see details on the attached pre activity documents)
To inspire in developing an Android software and useful device to aspiring young
inventors and developers through X-Code (Swift language) Seminar

TOPICS TARGET PARTICIPANTS


All students from the College of Computer Studies and Engineering (TRACE), and all
interested students from other colleges inside or outside the school.

MECHANICS:
TRUST WALK
Each team will go to an obstacle course blind-folded, only their facilitator will guide them through
this activity. This activity will test how team members trust each other, their facilitator and their
leader.
HUMAN BINGO
Each team will be given a BINGO card (Manila paper) that has 25 tiles containing different
descriptions. Names of the team members will be posted on the tile that best describe the team
member.
BALLOON CATAPULT
Each team is given a large towel which serves as a catapult and a catching sheet. A balloon filled
with water is now catapulted from one team to the other over volleyball net (rope). The receiving
team tries to catch the balloon. The team with the most catches wins.
H. T. T. P. (Hagis Tsinelas Takbo Po)

The team will be given their corresponding bases, facing against each other. The Game Master
will lob a tsinelas and the side of the tsinelas will decide which team will attack and which team
will dodge/run away from the attacking team. Once a member is touch by the opposing team,
he/she is out of the game. The game will end if one of teams is out of member standing on the
court.
PAINT ME A PICTURE
The Game Master(s) will give topics or situations, then teams will make human dioramas based
on the given topics or situations. Each team will be given a minute or two in order for them to
create their dioramas and they will do this simultaneously. It will then be judge according to
relevance, presentation and creativity. NO PROPS will be allowed.
AMAZING TRACE
The race will begin after the Game Master(s) has given each team their first clue. The teams will
now race to the following stations. In each station there will be challenges that they should solve
together in order for them to get their next clue and reach the next station. The first team to finish
the race wins.
BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT is open to all students under College of Computer Studies and
Engineering boys and girls.
1. The teams are from students in Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering and TOCS
(Computer Science and Information Technology).
2. The committee will finalize the team who joined and schedule the game. The schedule of
the games will be post on the bulletin board.
3. POINTS:
BOYS: Basketball scoring will be followed.
GIRLS: Each game follows the POINT SYSTEM WINNER which means the first team
who scores 25 points is the winner.
Three point shots is = 3 points
Inside shots = 2 points
Free Throw = 1 point
4. RULES:
BOYS: Basketball rules will be followed.
GIRLS: Girls basketball is exempt in the rules except foul and outside ball.
5. The player who committed six (6) fouls is out of the game or fouled out.
X-CODE SEMINAR (Swift Language)
This is free seminar aims to inform and inspire students to become an iOS software developer. XCode is platform use in iOS mobile apps development using Swift as its programming language.
Headed by Sir Ryan Gino-gino and Arjon Layosa. To be held in Computer Lab.
FILM SHOWING and Open Tambayan
CCSE will be showing Sci-Fi films that are related to ICT, Operating Systems and Artificial
Intelligence. Open to all colleges and this is free. It will be held in Room 401.

Nikis Dream House


A scale model dream house made by Nikixandra a Computer Engineering
student.

Bridge Model
A scale model of a bridge made up of Popsicle sticks created by Computer
Engineering Students.
Electronic Components Kit
An electronic kit composed of basic parts of electric components such as
resistors, transistors, capacitors, LEDs, breadboard and DC voltage supply 3
12 Volts that are useful for training in basic circuitry.
Taipei 101 Model
A scale model of Taipei 101 created by Civil Engineering students
LED Bulletin Board using Bluetooth App.
LED Bulletin Board was developed by 5th year Computer Engineering students
where you can post a message using a developed Android App connected via
Bluetooth
Android Games (Developed by Information Technology and Computer Science students):
Germ Attack
Avoid the germs landed on your face by killing it. If the germs does, you
will get a pimple.
Whack That
Kill all the pink rabbits appears on the screen avoid hitting brown rabbits
to save your life.
Lights Controller
An Android phone based App developed by 4 th year Computer Engineering
students, a prototype of a house with lights where you can control the lights on
and off using your Android phone
TRACE College Voting System
The Official Voting System of TRACE College developed by IT students. TRACE
College Voting System was used in the past Student Council Election
TRACE College Virtual Tour
A virtual tour of TRACE College developed by 4 th year Information Technology
students. You can travel around some facilities of TRACE College like Admission
Office, Library, and Book Store etc. in a 3D scale model of facilities.
