Emergency Handling and Dos & Donts:1. Gas leak can be easily detected by its characteristic smell.
2. For pinpointing the source of leakage only soap solution shall be used.
3. Any cylinder, which develops a leak (body/bung leak), should be promptly removed
to an isolated open place away from any source of ignition. And evacuate in a safe
manner.
4. Valve leak cylinder should capped immediately and tagged by mention the defect.
5. In case of piping leak, close the stove knob/adaptor/valve and remove the cylinder
and place the safety cap on valve of the cylinder.
6. Never repair the appliance or any part of the system when pipe line or appliance in
use.
7. In case of small fire, use DCP fire extinguisher to extinguish the fire.
8. In case of emergency keep cool and do not panic.
9. Do not spread the rumours.
10. Any hazard or potential hazard noticed must be immediately reported.
11. In case of heavy leak, stop all ignition sources in the vicinity and evacuate the people
and inform to fire brigade/police/franchise /FP.
12. Remove the effected people and arrange the first aid.
13. Use PPE to handle the LPG leak.
14. Dont use naked lights to detect the leaks.
15. Evacuate the over filled cylinder immediately and to continuous cool the cylinder.
