Outcome:

On completion of this unit, a student shall be able to:

1. use matrix methods to solve simultaneous linear equations;
2. evaluate derivative and integral of given functions and apply them to solve
related problems;
3. solve ordinary differential equations;
4. apply Laplace transform to solve ordinary differential equations;
5. use vector operations to solve problems in two or three dimensional geometry;
6. use the derivatives of functions of several variables to solve optimization
problems.
