SriRudramissupposedtobeaverysacredmantraoccurringintheVedas.Sri
RudramistheglorificationofLordShivawhoisnoneotherthanRudra,which
meansonewhoremovesallsorrowsorpainsfromonesmind.Ruthmeans
dukhamanddrameansremover.SotheverymeaningofRudramis
removerofsorrowandsowechantRudramanddoabhisekhamtoday.The
gloryofRudramismentionedinKaivalyaUpanishad:apersonbecomesfreefrom
pappasandsinshehascommitted.Rudramnotonlysetsusfromoursinsbutalso

TheseDhayanaSlokasofRudramisbeautifulasLordShivaisdescribed
inthreedifferentwaysdependinguponthestageoftheseeker,dependingupon
thematurityofthedevoteetheLordHIMSELFisseenfromthreedifferent
perspectives.Allthethreeanglesaregiveninthedhyanaslokasandwelldiscuss
them.

beginnerlooksupontheLordasaperson(asapersonalgod).Thereforetheinitial

ThosewhosegloriesarementionedintheSriRudramoftheelevenlingas,mayall
theserudrasblessuswithhappinessandallthefourpurushartas.Thatiswhyafter
