The colorimeter is a apparatus or instrument, that is usesd a absorbance method,
which is used by the concentration of samples and / or substances, depending of
the color, is mainly a cualitative method, but as all cualitative method is
cuantitative, the results are quantified in the chart.

based on the principie that the absorbanced of a substance is proporcional to the
concentration, and is for this that the most concentrated substances present a
reading higher absorbance.
Used a filter, for choose the color of light that most absorbed the solute, to
maximized the accuracy the reading. The color of light absorbed is the opposite
color of the specimen, therefore would be appropriate for an orange substance.
The sensors measured the amount of light passed through the solution, comparing
the incoming number and reading the amount absorbed.
Is performed a series of chemical solutions of known concentrations of the under
study and measured the absorbance of each concentration, thereby obtained a
graph of absorbency relative to concentration, by extrapolation of absorbance in the
graph,can find the value of the unknow concentration of the sample.
In others aplications that have the colorimeter is the capacity for qualify and correct color
reactions on the monitors, or to calibrate the colors of the photographic print. The
colorimeters also is using in peopel with visual impairment (blindness or color blindness),
when the names of the colors are announced in measures color parameters, (for example
saturation and luminance).
