WEDNESDAYREVIVAL PRAYING
Chronological Bible Reading: Judges 1-3; Luke 1:61-80
Wednesday, March 25

Isa. 53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when
thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and
the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me
I will in no wise cast out.

Job 33:27-28 He looketh upon men, and if any say, I have sinned, and perverted
that which was right, and it profited me not; He will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and
his life shall see the light.

Holy Father and Lord:

Jesus did not die in vain, so let me not live in vain. His death was
sacrificial; let my life be a living sacrifice. I thank you for sending Jesus as my
substitute, because his death paid the penalty for my sins. His soul was a sacrifice
for all those who are born in sin, and I am called to carry that good news to
them. Help me Lord Jesus, by your Spirit, to make them see and understand!
Why should I not be willing to die to self to accomplish this? In death Lord,
you became like the corn of wheat that brings forth much fruit. If Jesus is the
Everlasting Father, then he needs a succession of children so he can say,
Heb. 2:13 Behold I and the children which God hath given me.
A parent is honored in his children. May I add to Jesus honor by winning
__________ and __________ to him. Just as parents are represented by their
children, so Christ is represented to others by me. In a sense, a persons life is
prolonged in his seedso the life of Christ is continued in us Christians.
Thank you Lord, for recognizing me as your child. Make me more and
more worthy of your sacrifice.
Heb. 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy
that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand
of the throne of God.
Isaiah tells us that Jesus looks on us (Isa. 53:11). He sees us as the reward
of his souls travail. So when we look unto him, then our eyes meet. What a joy
to be walking in your word and bringing others to the cross! Amen.

Glorious God and Heavenly Father:

Help me spread the news today: no one who is approaching God by Jesus
Christ can be prohibited. Toward God, forward progress is never hindered.
Matt. 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it
shall be opened unto you:
Everyone who seeks will find without fail. Make seekers out of the people I
know. Among lost souls in hell no one will say, I was coming and he stopped
me. I was on my way but it was too late. I got there and he refused me.
No. It is not possible for any of my friends or family to be the first person
ever to whom God breaks his word. Help me reach them with the message that if
they simply start seeking God, they will be found by him!
Of this note I can be sure: as I approach you about the evils of the day you
will not refuse to hear. Let me go together, with my churchbeseeching God in
prayer, imploring him in desperate dependencefor we will find grace, each one
for the way. What did they say when they sought to accuse Jesus?
Luke 15:2 And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth
sinners,
He receives and he never refuses! That is true of the sinner who needs to
get saved today, and that is true of me in my failures. I come by prayerand that
prayer broken. I come by confessionand that confession faulty. I come with
praiseand that praise falls far short of Jesus merits. Yet you receive even me.
Lord, I am worn-out and worthless. Thank you for not casting me out.
Now help me share this hope with others, in Jesus precious name. Amen.

A DAILY PATTERN FOR PRAYER & BIBLE READING

Chronological Bible Reading: Judges 4-6; Luke 2:1-26
Thursday, March 26

FRIDAY CORPORATE PRAYER MINISTRY

Chronological Bible Reading: Judges 7-9; Luke 2:27-52
Friday, March 27

Gen. 6:8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

ASSEMBLED at Thy great command,

Before Thy face, dread King, we stand;
The voice that marshaled every star
Has called Thy people from afar.
We meet through distant lands to spread
The truth for which the martyrs bled;
Along the line, to either pole,
The anthem of Thy praise to roll.
Our prayers assist; accept our praise;
Our hopes revive; our courage raise;
Our counsels aid; to each impart
The single eye, the faithful heart.
Forth with Thy chosen heralds come;
Recall the wandering spirits home;
From Zions mount send forth the sound,
To spread the spacious earth around.
William B. Collyer, 1812

Deut. 12:28 Observe and hear all these words which I command thee, that it may go
well with thee, and with thy children after thee for ever, when thou doest that which is good and
right in the sight of the LORD thy God.
O God Who Is Our Father:
The curse is taken away by the cross, and no promise of blessing is now
suspended. Salvation is not by works, yet blessings still follow obedience when
we are faithful. This one truth would heal all of our families!
Help us note and listen to your will, revealed in your word, during our
services at church. Help us not give attention only to the sections we like, but to
all these words. It is not for us to pick and choose over what the preacher teaches.
Give us an impartial reverence for everything you command.
Righteousness is still the road of blessing for a father and his children
even down to the third and fourth generationif only we love you. Help us walk
uprightly this week, for the sake of our families, and for those who are watching
us. Make all men know we are a seed who are blessed by you.
No blessing can come through neglect of Bible truths. The families we
work with, go to school with, and see in the neighborhood need to hear the
preaching this Sunday. We need Sunday School and the worship service so we
can break-out from the matrix of the lost. The way of the world is conformity,
but the way of your Eternal Purpose is holiness.
It will go well with us when we go well with you. If integrity does not make
us prosper, then nothing else will! Artificial craft or politics will not. We trust in
you today that the things that bring pleasure to God will ultimately bring pleasure
to us also. We have to believe this truth, because everything about the life of faith
is predicated on it. So we confess it in Jesus name. Amen.

Dear God Who Loves Us in Christ Jesus:

These words of Elihu preserve truth gathered from experience. The Bible
says he made these comments to Job because Job justified himself rather than God
(Job 32:2). How many times have I done that, being righteous in my own sight?
I have sinned. I have sinned personally. I have sinned willfully. I have not
only missed the mark, but by perverting your truth I have moved the mark to
match my own agenda. I have sinned so as to discover there is no profit in it, and
the wages are eternal loss.
But what you did for Elihu and Job, you still do today. I come to you with
my honest acknowledgement of my own wickedness, knowing that as long as the
world stands, you will receive into your bosom all who come to you with a
sincere confession of sin. In fact, you are always on the lookout for anyone who
is in trouble due to of his or her own faults. Help me look out for them too,
Lord! So that by your Spirit and your word we can bring them from a position of
fault to a position of faith in Christ.
The pit of hell was yawning to receive me, but you have delivered me by the
price of your blood. You granted me lifenow grant me light, and the
opportunity to share it with others and see revival.
Why should I despair? Why should I even doubt? You do not mock
humility. The guilt I used to have is all forgiven. The weakness I fell to has been
pardoned. I confess you as Lord, and consecrate my self to your mission. This
offering of myself I make in Jesus own name and to his glory. Amen.
SATURDAYIN THE PSALMS
Chronological Bible Reading: Judges 10-12; Luke 3:1-19
Saturday, March 28
Psa. 45:7 Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God,
hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
Righteous Lord and Mighty God:
You are not neutral in the debate over what is right and wrong. Just as
much as you love right you also abhor evil. What confidence that gives me to
speak up for you and your word! Help me imitate you both in your love and in
your hatredbecause they are both needed to compose a righteous character.
Your providence and your grace to me will make it so, and
Psa. 45:17 I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall
the people praise thee for ever and ever.
Lord Jesus, your fame is not left to my guardianship; God himself has
eternally guaranteed it. All through the ages, memories of Gethsemane, the
scourging, and Calvary will glow with beautiful light. The lapse of time, the
smoke of error, and the malice of hell will not be able to dim it.
Praise is due from every heart to you. You loved us and washed us in your
own blood. This debt of praise will never fully be paid, so how much more
should I start today! How much more should I walk out, with gladness above all my
fellows, and witness to them by my praise.
Age to age reveals more of your love. Let this Sunday especially increase the
volume of music from Harvest Baptist Church to heaven. Let it increase the
numbers of people who have a heart to sing, being anointed with the oil of
gladness when they fully comprehend their righteousness in Christ.
I look forward to worship, and especially forward to worshipping with
others. My voice is small, but my heart is in it. When added to the voice of others
it starts to be loud enough. Give us a good day Sunday, for Jesus is worthy!

THIS WEEKS EVENTS & ACTIVITIES

PRAYER DIARY

TIMEWORSHIP
Mark 1:35 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and
departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.

GIVE GOD THE FIRST PART OF EVERY DAY. The first commitment is
to a daily quiet time with God. Our weekly Prayer Diary provides a template for daily
devotions.
2)

TITHEWORK
1 Cor 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as
God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

GIVE GOD THE FIRST DIME OF EVERY DOLLARno questions

asked. Ten percent is a miniscule amount in our affluent society, but it must come
off the top in order to show that God is our priority. We want the blessing of the
firstfruits (first devotion, first dime and first day) to flow out to the rest of our
resources.
3)

TEAMWORD
Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is;
but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

GIVE GOD THE FIRST DAY OF EVERY WEEK. You should fellowship
with a group of believers around the word of God every Sunday in our church.

QUALITY CHRISTIANITY INVOLVES THREE THINGS

Keeping Christ at the center (your core relationship of worship to God)

Keeping the body of Christ a priority (your congregational relationship of

INSTRUCTIONS:

Baptists tend to ridicule liturgical churches that use "prepared prayers" because
they lack spontaneity. But for many Baptists, their prayers are so predictable they are
no more spontaneous than written-out prayers. The result is we end up praying the
same things over and over.
This daily Prayer Diary will prompt you on a wide range of prayer requests you
might not normally think of, while forcing you to articulate a deeper devotion to
God. We have included a daily Bible reading schedule. This plan will take you
through the Bible chronologically in a year.
Do not read ahead and do not try to catch up. Use each day as it comes. Then
you can know that on any given day, dozens of other people are lifting their hearts in
the same mind to God. Pray what is written, but use what is prayed as a springboard
for your own relationship with God. You learn to pray by praying.

Secret prayer is the secret of prayer, the soul of prayer, the seal of prayer, the
strength of prayer. If you do not pray alone you do not pray at all. Our Lord Jesus
Christ would go nowhere till He had prayed. He would attempt nothing till He had
prayed.
Oh, says one, I live in the spirit of prayer, and therefore I do not need times
and seasons for prayer. And do you think that Christ did not live in the spirit of
prayer? Yet He had to have his special time and place to pray. Do not fall under the
injurious notion that because your spirit cries to God in prayer all day long, therefore
there must not be some season for more immediately coming into Gods presence. If
you imagine this, I am afraid that it will prove a snare to your feet. The Lord Jesus
Christ, who knew better than you do that the main thing is the spirit of prayer rather
than the act of prayer, yet Himself retired into desert places to maintain the act and
exercise of prayer. Be spiritual. Be baptized into the spirit of prayer. But do not be
deceived by the enemy, who can steal a spirit away while we dream that we only
spiritualize it. We had better preserve the very bones of prayerthe posture, the
time, placerather than let it all ooze away into an impalpable mental condition.
God keep us prayerful. He will do so if He makes us like His dear Son.
Charles H. Spurgeon, 1834-92
