Hardware & Software Requirement

Hardware

Video card support DirectX 9.0 or above

A Multi-core CPU will be helpful if you
want to play many videos at the same
time.
Software

Windows XP or above, support both 32bits and 64-bits.

Install Software

Dowload trial version from

http://www.edge-blending.com/
Install torsionblend and server. you can
install them on the same machine.
If you want install them on different
machine, please edit files
{torsion_app_dir}\bin\torsion.ini and
{server_app_dir}\server.ini to setup ip
address.

Setup IP address

For example, the ip address of server machine is

192.168.0.2, the ip address of torsionblend machine is
192.168.0.1.
First open {torsion_app_dir}\bin\torsion.ini and modify as
bellow:

[network]

server.ip = 192.168.0.2

Then open {server_app_dir}\server.ini and modify as

bellow:

[0,0]

dav = 0

ip = 192.168.0.1

Install video plugin

Install video on torsionblend machine.

Suppose you have installed torsionblend
at c:\torsion, then use the same directory
c:\torsion when installing plugins.
Make sure you have installed video codec
before playback video, we suggest
download and install ffdshow, its a free
video decoder.

Playback video

After installed video plugin, open

{torsion_app_dir}\bin\torsion.ini and modify it as
bellow:
[projects]
#active = default.tor
active = video.tor
Then open {torsion_app_dir}\projects\video.tor,
its a simple text file, you can use any text editor
to open it. For example, you want play video file
located at c:\move\test.avi, then modify as bellow:
plugin.file = c:\movie\test.avi
Restart torsion.

Install desktop plugin

Install desktop plugin on torsionblend

machine and use the same installation
directory.
Make sure you have at least two video
output on single video card.
Open {torsion_app_dir}\bin\torsion.ini and
modify it as bellow:
[projects]
#active = default.tor
active = desktop.tor

If you still dont know how to setup video card, please use
windows display properties control program, as bellow:

#1 is the main display, please make sure it is connected to

monitor.
#2 is connected to projector.

Install desktop plugin ---Software

Suppose the main displays ( which is connected to monitor) resolution is

W1 x H1, the second displays (which is connected to projector)
resolution is W2 x H2.

Open {torsion_app_dir}\bin\torsion.ini, modify parameters as bellow:

win0.x = W1
win0.y = 0
win0.width = W2
win0.height = H2

Use notepad to edit {torsion_app_dir}\projects\default.tor, modify

parameters as bellow :
plugin.desktop.x = 0
plugin.desktop.y = 0
plugin.desktop.w = W1
plugin.desktop.h = H1

Save & Close the two files.

Install desktop plugin

Now start torsion.exe and server.exe

The main displays content will be cloned on projectors
output.
Do geometric correction in server program.
Press Save button in server after you have done the
calibration.
Exit server and keep torsion running until you want it exit.
Once you saved geometric correction result, you do not
need start server each time, just start torsion. unless the
projectors position has been changed again.
If you want exit torsion program, please use mouse click
torsions window and press key ESC.

Register

Why register?
The save/load function is not available in Trial version.
Some water mark text will display on screen.
Please register to remove these limitation.

First run {torsion_app_dir}\bin\genhwid.exe to get your
hardware ID.
Buy it online. http://www.edge-blending.com/buy.htm
Email us to your hardware ID and your order
information.
Then we will send you a full version software and
license file for you.
