Inicial: aplicar fro a la zona + antiinflamatorios potentes
Antibiticos: si podemos supones evidencia de futura infeccin

Remitir inmediatamente a neurlogo para evaluar daos

Alergia al Ltex
Hipersensiblidad tipo I: se produce frente a las protenas
alrgicas del ltex. Respuesta inmediata (minutos u horas).
Sntomas: urticaria de contacto, urticaria generalizada y/o
angioedema, rinitis, conjuntivitis, asma y choque anafilctico.
Hipersensibilidad tipo IV: frente a los aditivos qumicos
(thiuram) que se utilizan en el procesamiento del ltex aunque
tambin le puede producir las propias protenas del ltex.
Respuesta tarda (6 a 48 horas tras exposicin).
Sntomas: eccema en la zona de piel en contacto con el ltex.

Tipos
A) Alergia inmediata. Aparece entre unos minutos auna hora tras
el contacto con el ltex. Se manifiesta por:
- Urticaria (picor, ronchas), Angioedema (hinchazn) en la zona
de contacto o generalizada
- Rinitis o Conjuntivitis
- Asma
- Choque anafilctico. Esta es la forma ms grave de la
enfermedad.
B) Alergia retardada. Se caracteriza por sntomas nicamente en la
piel (eccema) que suelen aparecer24 horas despus del contacto
con ltex. Se denomina dermatitis de contacto.

Historia clnica previa imprescindible
Si el paciente tiene alergia a castaa, pltano, kiwi o aguacate
sospechar
Usar guantes y dique sin latex

Previene entrada de saliva

Previene la inhalacin y la ingestin de instrumentos y que

los irrigantes pasen a la cavidad oral

- No encajar las agujas (moverlas)

- Medir las agujas (no menos de 2mm LT)
- Evitar hacer presin excesiva
- Uso de sistemas de presin negativa (endovac)
