Problem Description

CDR and HOSR of many BSC were degraded on Dec 6. Its needed to analysis the root cause.

3.1 Counter Analysis
CDR of all BSCs was degraded on Nov 12.

CS Traffic kept stable on Dec 6.

Problem Analysis

PS traffic kept stable.

UL BQ HOSR was degraded obviously, but DL BQ HOSR and Better Cell HSOR degraded slightly. UL BQ
handover requests was increased sharply. Handover requests of other type of handover kept stable.

Uplink RxQual was degraded on Dec 6, but downlink RxQual kept stable.

Ratio of interference band level 3,4 and 5 was increased sharply on Dec 6. This proved that the interference
increased.

The trend of UL RxQual 6&7% is not consistent with CS traffic. We suspicious that there was external
interference.

3.2 Operations Analysis


BCPT01:
The operation log has been checked, there is no related operation on Dec 6.

Root cause

CDR and HOSR were degraded by uplink RxQua degrading. Uplink Rxquality was degraded. We suspicious that
there is external interference.
