Abortion

Abortion in the USA is one subject of intense public and political debate and
discussion in the country. Many various anti-abortion laws have been on
every state statute book since at least 1900 and today abortion is prohibited in
30 states and legal under certain circumstances in 20 states.
The opinions are clearly shattered and in this article will I, spokesperson for the
Democratic Party, speak for abortion as a human right.
The Republican Party claims that life begins at conception and therefore abortion
is equivalent to murder as it is the act of taking a human life. The Republican
Party saying that abortion is in direct defiance of the commonly accepted idea of
the sanctity of human life and that no society permits one human to intentionally
harm or take the life of another human without punishment, and that abortion is
no different. Instead the party refers to adoption as a viable alternative to
abortion, with there saying that it gives the same result.
I found it sick how people for real can be against abortion. Abortion should be
considered as a human right. Every woman must be able to decide over their own
bodies. The argument that abortion is taking another humans life is incorrect.
Nearly all abortions take place in the first trimester, when a fetus cannot exist
independent of the mother. The fetus is dependent by the placenta and the
health is dependent by the mothers. The fetus can therefore not be regarded as
a separate entity as it cannot exist independently. How can that be considered as
murder? It cant, and therefore the argument is invalid.
And to say that adoption could be an alternative to abortion is also completely
wrong. This because of the alternative still remains the woman's choice whether
or not to give her child up for adoption. Statistics show that very few women who
give birth choose to give up their babies, and theyre not positive about it. The
stats also say that giving your child away, involuntarily, could cause intense
psychological pain and stress. Psychological health cant be taken for granted.
Im aware of that people are worried about what an abortion could result in
medical complications later in life, like the risk of miscarriage or similar. I
understand the unrest but want to insure everybody that abortion is a safe
medical procedure. Medical abortions have less than 0.5% risk of serious
complications and do not affect a woman's health or future ability to become
pregnant or give birth.
To say abortion is used as a form of contraception is also wrong and is all greek to
me. Pregnancy can occur even with responsible contraceptive use. Only 8
percent of women who have abortions do not use any form of birth control. 8
percent is not a convincing if youre meaning that abortion work as another form
of contraception.
The Republican also claims that it's morally wrong to use tax dollars to fund
abortion, which is also a weird argument. Taxes are used to enable all people in
our society, even us who arent made of money, to access the medical services,

and abortion is one of these services. If we can fund a war in Mideast we can
definitely fund abortions for women. Abortion is medical service and medical
services should not be something that costs an arm or a leg.
As you see and as I described in this article there are no valid arguments against
abortion and for all spokesperson of the Republican Party I would like to ask a
question: In the case of rape or incest, forcing a woman made pregnant by this
violent act would cause further psychological harm to the victim. Is this
something you actually can sign on for? I hope that framing of a question will
work as wake-up call for all of you.
In conclusion I would like to reference to all my arguments above and say that
abortion should be considered as a human right. The ability of a woman to have
control of her body is critical to civil rights and abortion should therefore be legal
in all states of the USA.
