5. As an international school, we expect to mold students into lifelong global learners. How will
you provide this within your classroom and what life experiences do you have that you believe

What do we do next?
Start interviewing as soon as next Monday, resumes are kept in 2020
o Save all resumes in your personal files, they will be collected after the
position has been hired
Recommend a minimum of two applicants to Mr. Pietrini by date established in
todays meeting
Inform candidates when you invite them in that it is a first round screening with
department head and a teacher
o They should bring resumes
o Give them address so they dont end up at East
o Set the time, inform them to check in at main office and you can walk
down and get them at interview time
o They should know that the interview will be 20-30 minutes
Call back candidates using the script provided
o Give no additional information or specific feedback on how they did
o Keep the conversations brief and professional
Discussion regarding internal candidates and definition of the positions you are
hiring
Remember: no bias, if you have a pre-existing relationship you may not
participate in that interview
o Candidates recommended from your peers should come directly to Mr.
Pietrini

Call back for a candidate that will be given a second round interview:

Thank you so much for taking the time to meet with us the other day. We would like to
have you come back in for a second round interview with one of our IB coordinators and
an assistant principal. I will likely be in that interview as well. I am going to pass your
resume along to the assistant principal who will be calling you in the next few days. If
you have any further questions between now and then please send me an email and I
will do my best to answer them for you.


Call back for a candidate that WILL NOT be given a second round interview:

Thank you so much for taking the time to meet with us the other day. Unfortunately we
are going to be offering the position to another candidate. I want to wish you the best of
luck in your job search and I hope you have a great summer.

If they push to hear more from you:
I am sorry, I cant answer those questions. We simply found another candidate
that is the best fit for this specific position.
