Firstly, we would like to say thanks to Allah S.W.T because finally we finished
this proposal. Thank you to Ms Surina Nayan who always gives lesson,
advice, consideration and support in preparing the proposal. Secondly, we
would like to say thank you to our group members because of their
commitment to do this proposal. With the brilliant ideas that they shared,
they give us strength to finish our proposal completely. In addition, we wish
to express our gratitude to all for sharing their views and recommendations
in preparing the proposal.

INTRODUCTION

On 21st March, we were instructed by Ms. Surina binti Nayan, the BELs
lecturer to examine the condition of the retail outlet at UiTM Arau and guide
us to prepare a report with recommendations on how to build the retail outlet
in UiTM Arau .

The topic was chosen due to the increasing number of complaints from the
students regarding lack of retail outlets in UiTM Arau and the prices of the
food at Caka Team Ent are expensive. Thus, the purpose of this report was to
identify the current condition of retail outlet. The report also identifies the
possibility that can be made to build a new retail outlet for the student.

The investigation was made by interviewing the students about having the
new retail outlet for entrepreneurs club. Furthermore, the members of UiTM
Arau are increasing every year.

Background Information of the Proposal

Problem Statements:

Since the capacity of the students is increasing, the one of retail outlet is
needed in UiTM Arau. This is because at UiTM Arau do not have many shops
for all students to buy their goods and food. Moreover, the food at Caka Team
Ent is expensive and the price is not reasonable for the students because the
students must keep their savings to the more important thing such as to buy
the books, to pay the fees, the Photostat and others.

Furthermore, the student does not satisfy with the space in the Caka Team
Ent that is because the space is very small. In addition, the arrangement of
goods in the shop is not tight and the students always touched each others
in the shop.

Objectives:
The first objective is to train the students to manage the business. By
having the retail outlet for the students, the students can practice and
get the experience for the future.
The second objective is to reduce students expenses in university.
The third objective is to compare prices of food with other shops in the
UiTM.

 The fourth objective is to increase the entrepreneurs clubs income.

Significance:
Firstly, the students will work more effectively in the future based
on their experience in university. This will enhance their
performance and the productivity of their work.
Secondly, the students need more money to buy the books and
others. In addition, the books are very expensive, so through the
reasonable price of the food, the students can buy their books
without reasons. Moreover, the students can keep their savings.
Thirdly, the students can buy the goods at affordable prices. So,
if another retail outlet existing, the students can compare the
prices and decide where they want to buy the food.
Lastly, by the increasing the entrepreneurs clubs income, the
profit can be used and to pay the salary to the workers who are
the students of UiTM itself.

Procedure
There are a few steps to follow in order to ensure the success of the project.
It is important to follow the procedures.
The first step before the project is executed is to select the team
members among the students to ensure the project is carried out.
The second step is to call for the meeting to elect the group leader and
other committee members. The meeting indicates the starting point for
the project.
The third step is to conduct interview sessions among students about
new the retail outlet.
The fourth step is to work out the budget to build the retail outlets. The
entire budget is allocated to its needs.
The final step is to determine the source of fund to run the project.
During the previous meeting, it was decided that the project will be
funded by the loans from UiTM Arau.

Budget :
The entrepreneurs club should prepare a budget for the retail outlet project.
The project requires the cost of purchasing new facilities, renovation and
other expenses.

 Firstly, we must decide the contractor for our renovation. The contactor
will be in charge of painting services and wearing. The cost incurred is
RM 3000.
The entrepreneurs club spends a lot of money in its budget to buy new
facilities and others. The facilities that club needs to buy are
refrigerator, fans and cashier machine. In additional, the club needs to
order equipment and racks. The total cost is RM 20000.

Limitations:
There are several limitations in completing this proposal.

First of all, not all students give co-operation during the interview
sessions. This is because all students are busy with study, assignment

or group discussion, so they are unable to give full cooperation during

the interview sessions. As a result, complete information is needed in
order to know students opinion about new retail outlets was unable to
be obtained.
Other than that, not all the students of team members are interested
to join this project. There are students from another club was
interested to be a part of member for retail outlet.
The last limitation is to find the suppliers for ordering the goods is
difficult. This is because we do not have experience about that. So, we
must do research about the suppliers.

CONCLUSION:
The following conclusions can be made based on the interviews and
discussions. It is concluded that the student is dissatisfied because lack of
retail outlet, the price of goods are expensive, and the small space in the
retail outlet. Therefore, they are not comfortable to buy the food at Caka
Team Enterprise From the data gathered, it was concluded that, another new

retail outlet is needed to give the student facilities and to reduce the
students expenses.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
The following are several recommendations based on findings and the
conclusions. The new retail outlet is needed, so it will be able to

accommodate the needs of the students. The retail outlet needs to provide
facilities like refrigerator, racks, and fans.
The surrounding area is needed to be upgraded and repainted with colorful
colors which will make the retail outlet be more interesting.
