Description:
For this I needed to find a color scheme on the color wheel then I went out and took an
original photography. Making sure that my color scheme worked with my photo.

Program(s)/Tools:
Adobe Photoshop
Objectives:
I wanted to make an inspirational poster. I have always loved taking pictures of nature
because it is one of my favorite places to be. I feel like the poster shows the beauty of
the outdoors and has a great message.
Process:
The first step in my process was to choose what color scheme I wanted to use. I chose
an analogous color scheme, using gold, lime, yellow and orange. I then went out and
searched for the right area for my picture, I wanted something that would really capture
the attention of a viewer. I used my Canon 5 EOS 5D Mark II to take the picture. Then
after uploading the picture to my computer I did a little editing in Adobe Photoshop. I
edited the levels and saturation a bit. I designed and 8.5X11 landscape layout. I made
sure to include my picture, my color scheme, the name of the color scheme and text.
When I chose the colors to include in my design I used the eyedropper tool to select a
color from the picture and then again to make that color match more closely the colors
from the color wheel. I really like the way the project turned out. I love the composition
and the picture.

Objectives:
The company is Alyssa Bingham Photography. A photography business that takes pictures for all sorts of different occasions. I wanted to keep the logo simple and representative of the name of the business.
Process:
The first part that I created was the logo. I made a blank document in Adobe Illustrator then I started deciding what kind of a logo I wanted to create. I wanted to make a
logo using only type. So I went through and decided which font I wanted then I played
around with the sizing and the placing of the letters. I felt like the letters by themselves
were too plain so I added the two circles around the letters.
Then I created the front of my business card. I placed my logo on the left and again
added the information to the right. I decided to repeat the pattern of circles from the
letterhead to the front of the business card. Then with the back of the business card I
made the background the same color as the logo and repeated white circles.

I then opened Adobe InDesign and created the letterhead first on an 8.5 X 11 sheet. I
added the logo to the top left hand corner and the information to the top right. I then
decided to add the repeating circle pattern along the top of the page so that there was
repetition within my design. After I was done I felt like the page looked top heavy so I
repeated two larger circles and changed the opacity to 18% so that you would be able to
type over them with no problem.

Objectives:
I made the name for the company and the business is meant to be a company that will
take a wide range of different types of photographs.
Process:
I created each of the logos in Adobe Illustrator. I used some of the shapes tool to create
the camera itself and then for the aperture part I used a triangle and then converted anchor points to create the proper shape. When I was trying to figure out the best ways to
create the shapes and what would represent my idea well I researched option to convey
my message on the internet. Then I chose some different options for typography to help
change things up.

Objectives:
This flier is created to get information to graduating seniors. It is meant to help give
them a bit more information over other graduating seniors and help them develop skills
to help them in future jobs.
Process:
The first part of my process was to sketch the ideas that I had for the layout. I made
sure that all of my sketches had all of the required material in each one. Then I took my
sketches and I created a my favorites as a quick digital layouts. Once I had made them
into digital layouts I decided which one had the best flow. I created my favorite one and
put together all the elements. Later I had Becky Settle and my husband both critique my
flier and tell me what needed to change. I also watched a video critique from my teacher
Sister Kunz. I made the suggested changes and printed my final flier.

Event Ad
Description:
For this I only used Microsoft Word to create a full bleed event ad. The ad was created
to promote a charity event and I chose Toys for Tots.

Program(s)/Tools:
Microsoft Word, Epson scanner, PDF2JPG.net (Used to convert PDF file to a JPG.)
Objectives:
The purpose of my ad is to collect toys for the Toys for Tots program. Parents can bring
their children to take a picture with santa. They will bring one toy for each child they
want to take a picture with Santa. All of the toys will be donated to the Toys for Tots.
Process:
The first part of the process was to decide what image I wanted to use. I chose this one
and then I scanned the image into the computer. Once I had the image scanned in I
cropped it to make sure I had the best print. From there I felt like the image was not
exactly the quality I would have liked to see so I used the photo editing options in Microsoft Word to brighten up the picture and make it a bit more clear. I was surprised I
could make an ad look nice through a tool like Microsoft Word.

Objectives:
That my company Alyssa Bingham Photography would be a great choice to have take
any professional photographs for you.
Process:
This webpage was created only using a program called TextWrangler. I have done this
a few times now. I am a web design and development major. It is always a lot of fun for
me to use CSS and stylize a webpage once all the code is written. I used the W3 school
HTML validator to make sure that my code didnt have any errors in it. I was able to
identify an error in my code that I had not seen when I was making it.
I then attached a pre-made CSS document to my HTML document. I then used the
colors from my logo and added a simple gray color to have another simple color. I found
these colors by opening my logo in Photoshop and using the color selection eyedropper to find the hex color. I changed the fonts to Adobe Garamond Pro and Arial. I then
made backup fonts in case the viewer doesnt have the original fonts I chose. I made the
border a little thicker and also centered my logo.

Objectives:
This brochure was created to inform anyone that is potentially interested in getting
braces that Apple Orthodontics has created a new office and now they are welcoming
new customers.
Process:
I first started by creating the proper layout and sizes of the document in InDesign. I
added guides throughout the page to make sure that it would keep me on track. I then
decided to create the apple logo in Adobe Photoshop. After creating the logo I decided
what I wanted my message of the brochure to be and created a rough draft making the
design and adding pictures and filler text. Then after I had finalized the layout I decided
to create my headers and subheaders and paragraphs in Microsoft Word. I put together
the content for my brochure and then transferred the information to the actual InDesign
document.
I made sure that I had a set color scheme and designed the text wrap and got rid of the
background on the toothbrush image in Adobe Photoshop. I added contrasting fonts
and made sure that I used the colors throughout the entire brochure.
