FLOOR COAT
CURING, SEALING,
HARDENING AND
DUSTPROOFING MEMBRANE
FLOOR COAT is a resin rubber copolymer curing
compound and sealer for concrete. It has been
modified with acrylates to make a harder film and
provide better gloss retention than most curing and
sealing compounds. FLOOR COAT can be applied to any concrete surface, old or new, interior
or exterior.*
* may affect appearance, see precautions/limitations.
PRIMARY APPLICATIONS
l Industrial floor slabs
l Interior concrete surfaces
l Walls and columns
l Concrete toppings
l Warehouses
l Dry shake hardened floors
l Passenger and freight terminals.
FEATURES
l Provides a transparent curing film for new
concrete.
l Seals all concrete surfaces - old or new providing glossy appearance and easier
cleaning.
l Hardens new concrete by promoting a
proper cure for improved abrasion resistance.
l Dustproofs concrete by impregnating surface pores with tough durable film.
l Compatible with many paints, adhesives
and resilient floor coverings.
l After FLOOR COAT has dried and hardened, the product will assist in protecting
fresh concrete from rain damage.
SPECIFICATIONS AND COMPLIANCES
l ASTM C 309, type 1 & 1D, Class B
l Resilient tile Institute Specifications
l AASHTO Specification M-148, Type 1 & 1D
l U.S.D.A. approved for use in facilities where
this sealer may come into incidental contact with food product.
l Federal Specification TTC - 800 A
l Approved by Ohio EPA for contract with
public drinking water supplies.

PERFORMANCE.
Appearance - FLOOR COAT is a clear liquid solvent based liquid with a slight amber color. After
application and drying, this product gives a clear,
glossy appearance to the concrete surface.
FLOOR COAT will turn a deep amber color upon
exposure to sunlight. This appearance may not
be satisfactory for exterior concrete.
PACKAGING
FLOOR COAT is packaged in 210 ltr drums and
20 ltr pails.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Surface Preparation - The concrete surface must
be clean and free of standing water. Remove any
sealer or other material that may prevent absorp-

tion of FLOOR COAT.

Mixing - FLOOR COAT requires no preblending
and should be used directly from the container.
Application - Apply at a uniform coverage by
sprayer or roller application. Product may be
sprayed with a hand held Pump-up sprayer or
with an airless industrial sprayer. If roller applied,
use a short napped, solvent resistance sleeve.
Curing - For the best cure of freshly placed concrete, apply FLOOR COAT as soon as possible
after finishing operations and/or immediately after
the disappearance of the sheen of surface moisture.
Sealing - When sealing old concrete, the surface
must be clean and dry. Remove contaminants
and stains such as waxes, grease and oil with
strong soaps or caustics rather than acids. Badly
worn or porous areas may need a second application to attain a uniform seal and surface gloss.
FLOOR COAT may be placed on top of a previous
coat of the same product. The surface must be
clean and dry for proper adhesion.
Anti-spall Treatment - To minimize winter salt
damage to exterior concrete, 2 coats should be
used. Concrete varies in quality due to workmanship, air entrainment, and the water/cement
ratio used. These factors plus weather conditions and the amount of de-icers used on concrete may contribute to surface scaling and
spalling even though the concrete has been
treated.

coatings or adhesives. KUREZ DR is recommended for these applications.
Although compatible with many carpet, tile
and floor covering adhesives, a test section is recommended for questionable adhesives. Complete membrane removal or
the use of KUREZ DR or EUCOSIL is recommended in areas to receive movable
carpet squares
Do not use as a bond breaker for tilt-up construction.
No heavy traffic until the product has cured.
Not resistant to gasoline or brake fluid.

CLEAN-UP
Tools and equipment may be cleaned with Euco
Solvent, xylene, xylol or toluene. Run cleaning
solvent through sprayer equipment to remove
material and prevent clogging of nozzle in future
use.
SEALER REMOVAL
Dried, cured sealer may be removed with strong
solvent such as xylene, MEK or toluene. Commercial paint strippers are also acceptable. (Always read direction and warning labels.)
Alternatively, the sealer can be removed by sandblasting or by other similar mechanical means.
PRECAUTIONS AND LIMITATIONS
l FLOOR COAT may darken, yellow or
slightly change the appearance of exterior
concrete surface.
l Heavy build-up will increase the potential
for yellowing.
l Do not apply over bleed water or free standing water.
l Use with adequate ventilation and keep away
from open flame If solvent odor is objectionable use of a water based product such
as DIAMOND CLEAR VOX, may be preferred.
l Do not apply over concrete to receive con-
