PLIOCURE
CURE , SEALS, HARDENS
AND DUSTPROOFS
PLIOCURE is a butadiene styrene polymer based
curing, sealing, hardening and dustproofing compound. It retains water in concrete, thus ensuring
maximum strength development it may be used
over both interior and exterior concrete.*
FEATURES
l Provides a transparent curing film for new
concrete.
l Seals all concrete surfaces - old or new providing glossy appearance and easier
cleaning.
l Hardens new concrete by promoting a
proper cure for improved abrasion resistance.
l Dustproofs concrete by impregnating surface pores with a tough film.
l Helps minimize spalling of exterior concrete
when applied in 2 coats.
l Protects fresh concrete from rain damage
after drying.
l Compatible with many paints, adhesives
and resilient floor coverings.
l New formula utilizes aromatic solvent for
safer storage and shipping.
APPLICATIONS
l Industrial floor slabs
l Walls and columns
l Concrete toppings
l Parking garages
l Warehouses
l Dry shake hardened floors
l Passenger and freight terminals.
SPECIFICATIONS AND COMPLIANCES
l ASTM C 309, type 1 & 1D, Class B
l Resilient tile Institute Specifications
l AASHTO Specification M-148, Type 1 & 1D
l U.S.D.A.
l Federal Specification TTC - 800 A
l Approved by Ohio EPA for contract with
public drinking water supplies.
ENGINEERING DATA

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Curing - For the best cure of freshly placed concrete, apply PLIOCURE as soon as possible after finishing operations and/or immediately after
the disappearance of the sheen of surface moisture. Application should be by spray, lambs wool
applicator or short nap roller. DO NOT cover more
area than can be worked in 10 minutes as the
pliocure membrane will start to dry.
Sealing - When sealing old concrete, the surface
must be clean and dry. Remove contaminants
and stains such as waxes, grease and oil with
strong soaps or caustics rather than acids. Badly
worn or porous areas may need a second application to attain a uniform seal and surface gloss.
Apply pliocure by spray, lambswool applicator or
short nap roller.
Anti-spall Treatment - To minimize winter salt
damage to exterior concrete, 2 coats should be
used. Concrete varies in quality due to workmanship, air entrainment, and the water/cement
ratio used. These factors plus weather conditions and the amount of de-icers used on concrete may contribute to surface scaling and
spalling even though the concrete has been
treated. Apply by spray or short nap roller.
