Company Background
The Aristocrat Restaurant is a Filipino-owned family corporation founded by
the late Doa Engracia (Aling Asiang) Cruz-Reyes and her husband, Justice
Alex A. Reyes.
From its humble beginning as a snack mobile in 1936, the Aristocrat has
grown into a restaurant enterprise with branches in Metro Manila, all serving
the same quality foods that have made it The Philippines Most Popular
Restaurant.
They are also known for having the best Chicken Barbeque in Town.
Strategically located along Roxas Boulevard, the first Aristocrat was a silent
eyewitness to the passing of Philippine history --- from the Presidential
inaugural parades and somber funeral marches of national martyrs and
prisoners of war (World War II), to religious rallies of various denominations
and frivolous parades of film festivals and beauty queens.

Sulaiman park, the issuance of a stamp edition and the naming of a street
after her honor.
The Aristocrat has diversified into an integrated complex, which includes the
following: the Aristocrat Bakeshop (Bakerey, Inc.); Aristomart, a 24-hour
convenience store (Aristore, Inc.); property management such as the

II. History
The Aristocrat was owned by Mr. & Mrs. Reyes (Aling Asiang & Alex) Aling
Asiang is only a grade school graduate by have the ability to cook great tasting
native dishes. While Alex is a well educated. A law graduate from University of
the Philippines. He pursues a promising career in the judiciary & rose quickly
from assistant clerk of court at the municipal court of manila. He became an
undersecretary of justice in less than 15 years.
The couple has 13 children (Andy, Arturo, Teresita, Esperidion, Mario, Jose,
Herminia, Ma. Lusia, Alex, Jr., Consuelo, Armando, Benjamin, and Victor. Having a
lot of children turned out to be a quite problem since Alex was a man of
impeccable integrity who would not augment the family income through
nefarious means. So Aling Asiang decided to use her culinary talent in
entrepreneurial by selling food to generate additional income. Alex serve as
somewhat of publicist from government & other circles.
The collegialas of St. Theressas immediately took a liking to the specialties
of the lapu lapu, banana fritters (turon) lumpiang ubod. Words spread far, wide,
and fast about Aling Asiangs delicacies in the legal professions and government
service became faithful customers of the small restaurant .
Every Sunday Reyes family always have a family bonding in Luneta, Aling
Aiang always prepare a car full load of a mouth watering food, she never settled
for ordinary sandwiches made with ham & cheese. She put a twist by putting
adobo or fried fish fillet as filling and she called it pino sandwich. And that
sandwich was a winner over cold hotdog in buns puddle by rolling vendors in the
areas.

Fidel Reyes suitor of eldest daughter Teresita, attempt to gain favor with his
future in laws, he offered a battered ford that can be converted into a rolling
canteen at a cost of seventy pesos.
The carriage was ready and it has to be parked a long Luneta. Originally the
name of the store was andys after the eldest Reyes son. Andy however did not
relish the idea of attaching his name to the family rolling store digging into her
deep sense of irony, Aling Asiang named their mobile canteen The aristocrat
a place oriented to filipino families with small incomes and large appetites.
Aristocrat turn out to be very well suited to what Aling Asiang was doing.
Whenever Aling Asiang cooked food for customers, she would put the same love
& care as though she were cooking for her own children.
More than selling tasty creations aristocrat was a place where the common fold
could expect to get good service & hefty portions at reasonable prices.
The Aristocrat was mounted on the salvage ford & its windows were opened to
literally give costumers an inside peak on how their food was being prepared.
Masarap, Malinis at Mura these were the 3 tenets of Aling Asiangwith dutifully
impressed upon her food server at the aristocrat who was trained to prepare
ingredients by hand.
Eventually Aling Asiang looked at elevating her rolling canteen into a Restaurant
& struck up a deal with landowners to put up the Aristocrat at the same street
corner where they have faithfully served and satisfied thousands of customers.
