International Students Academic Entry Requirements

The academic entry requirements are listed below for each programme. Please refer to our
country specific entry requirement list for more details.
In order to undertake a programme of study at BPP University, students need to demonstrate
that they have a good level of written and spoken English. Details on which tests are accepted
are listed on our English language requirement policy, wher you can also find the entry
requirements for our English language programmes.

PATHWAY PROGRAMMES
(Extended) International Foundation Certificate (IFC), Pathway to Higher Education
Certificate in Health
Completed a minimum of 12 years of schooling or equivalent, with strong evidence of good
grades and an ability to successfully complete the course
International Pre-Masters Diploma (Pre-Masters)
Equivalent to HND (NQF level 5) or for students with a third class degree
UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES*
Extended Degree Programmes
Completed a minimum of 12 years of schooling or equivalent, with strong evidence of good
grades and an ability to successfully complete the course
Accelerated (Two year duration)
300+UCAS points or 3 A-Levels minimum BBB, International Baccalaureate (26 points) or
Scottish Higher and GCSE: B at English and Maths
Three years duration

LLB + BSC Psychology - 260 UCAS tariff points or 3 A-Levels minimum BCC for the 3 year
program and a minimum Grade C in English Language and Maths GCSE
BSC Business Management, BSc Banking & Finance, BSc Business Management with
Finance & BSc Professional Accounting: 220 points and GCSE Grade C in English Language
and Maths

BSc (Hons) Nursing (Diploma to Degree)


A Diploma in Nursing, normally completed within the last two years
Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council
Integrated Undergraduate Masters in Chiropractic (MCHIRO)

240+ UCAS points , Three A-levels, minimum


Five passes in GCSE subjects, including English and Maths

Other approved qualifications


BPP University can consider the following qualification for entry into its UG programmes:
BTEC National Diploma/HND/HNC, Scottish Certificate of Education, Irish Leaving Certificate,
International and European Baccalaureate as well as an approved equivalent United Kingdom
or overseas Qualification leading to award of professional body.
POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES
Extended Masters
Equivalent to HND (NQF level 5) or for students with a third class degree
MSc Programmes
(a) A 2:2 Honours degree from a recognised university or the equivalent international
qualification; OR
(b) An acceptable professional qualification equivalent; OR
(c) A pass in the Graduate Entry Examination; OR
(d) An acceptable professional qualification equivalent such as the CMI, ILM at level 6 or
above for MSc Accounting and Finance: ACCA holding exam passes or exemptions from
Papers F1-F9, ICAEW holding exemptions, or exam passes from the Professional stage, CIMA
holding exemptions or exam passes from the Managerial stage, be a fully qualified accountant
from a recognised institution, or passed finalist, in which case the student would be eligible to
join the programme for the final term (60 credits) or above
LLM (not LLM PLP)
1. Law degree (minimum lower second class honours from a recognised University) or;
2. Degree in law and another subject (minimum lower second class honours) or;
3. Non-law degree (minimum lower second class honours) and a pass in the GDL or CPE
or;
4. Non-law degree (minimum lower second class honours) and appropriate/relevant
professional experience
5. Non-graduates with appropriate professional experience will also be considered.
MClinDent
Undergraduate qualification in Dentistry and
Completion of at least one year in clinical practice and
Letter of good standing or equivalent from an appropriate regulatory dental body and
Prior to commencing clinical placement:
Current satisfactory immunization status and
Current evidence of a satisfactory CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check and Current
evidence of malpractice indemnity insurance supported and influenced your role

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFCATIONS
ACCA (Association of Certified Chartered Accountants)
Students must register with ACCA on the ACCA route visit ACCA global website for more
information, alternatively registering on the FIA route for our Foundation in Accountancy
GDL (Graduate Diploma in Law)
2:2 UK honours degree OR
 International honours degrees: Equivalent to minimum 2:2 UK honours
degree (or above) AND
 Certificate of Academic Standing (COAS) from the BAR Standards Board
(BSB) if Non-UK degree for students wanting to progress to BPTC after
GDL
Legal Practice Course (LPC) or MA (LPC with Business) /LLM PLP
Qualifying law degree (minimum lower Second Class Honours), or Qualifying non-law degree
(minimum Lower Second Class Honours) and GDL or CPE, or Similar qualification such as
ILEX/FILEX
BPTC (Bar Professional Training Course)
Qualifying law degree (minimum lower Second Class Honours), or
Qualifying non-law degree (minimum Lower Second Class Honours) and GDL or
CPE
Membership of an Inn of Court by 31st May of the year you wish to start the
BPTC
Bar Aptitude test Pass ( where applicable)

Age Requirement:
Minimum age to study a programme at BPP University is 18 years at the start of the
programme.
