Functional organisation of living matter. Functional implications of chemical elements on


human body (daily intake requirement, sources, body distribution, physiological role, effects of
deficiency/ excess) - 4 hours
Cellular physiology: histophysiology of cell membrane and cell organites; transmembrane
transport mechanisms cell excitability (membrane potential, cell receptors); physiology of
the neuron and muscle fibre 4 hours
Internal environment: compartments, composition, hydroelectrolitic homeostasis - 2 hours
Blood and lymph; physiology of blood cells (erythrocytes, leucocytes, trombocytes),
physiological hemostasis 2 hours
Heart physiology: fundamental properties of myocardium, cardiac cycle; theoretical notions of
electrocardiography 2 hours
Vascular physiology: arterial pressure; venous, capillary and lymphatic circulation 2 hours
Physiology of respiration: stages of respiration (ventilation, pulmonary hematosis, blood
transport of respiratory gases, tissular respiration); regulation of respiration. Non-respiratory
function of the lung. transformed respiratory acts 2 hours
Physiology of digestion: oral, gastric and intestinal digestion; absorption of nutrients;
regulation of digestive functions. Liver physiology. 2 hours
Physiology of excretion: tegumentary, digestive, pulmonary and renal excretion. Urine
formation (glomerular filtration, tubular reabsorption and excretion). Physiology of urinary
tract - micturition 2 hours
Physiology of the endocrine glands: roles of hormones, effects of hipo- si hypersecretion 4

Physiology of the nervous system: synaptic transmission, physiology of sensory and motor
systems; vegetative nervous system 2 hours
