BUILDING GREEN – THE CEO FORUM

Leading property companies commits to use BERDE as Green Building Standard.

MAKATI CITY, Philippines. – January 28, 2010 – The Building Green – the CEO Forum ends today
with the NET Group, the leading developer of office buildings in Bonifacio Global City and Ayala Land,
Inc., one of the largest developers in the Philippines committing to use BERDE – the National Green
Building Rating System.

Opening the Forum this morning was British Ambassador Stephen Lillie. Mr. Lillie stressed that UK’s
assistance to the PHILGBC is part of their commitment to assist developing countries who are the most
vulnerable to the effects of climate change. The Ambassador reiterated UK’s commitment in addressing
Climate Change and highlighted the urgent intentions of the Copenhagen Accord in solving the challenge.

Welcoming the delegates to the forum is PHILGBC Chairman Christopher Cruz de la Cruz. He thanked
the industry for being instrumental in the establishment of the Council and further stressed the influential
work of the leading companies in the ongoing market transformation. “The present affirmative industry
action on green building we are enjoying today is gradually being felt. Industry is being creative on how
to make Green Building a major part of their business agenda” the Council Chairman said. “Companies
are recognizing that doing well by going green is doing good” he added.

Mr. Carlos Rufino, President of the Net Group and Mr. Joel Luna, Vice President, Ayala Land, Inc., read
and submitted to the Council their respective companies’ Letters of Commitment to support BERDE.

The CEO Forum brought together the green building champions from government, industry and the
academe to discuss issues and challenges in making BERDE an effective green building policy
development tool.

The Philippine Green Building Council (PHILGBC) and the UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) co-hosted
the Building Green – the CEO Forum. Building Green is the conference series initiated by the PHILGBC
to open the dialogue on sustainability in the property sector.

BERDE was released today for comment to incorporate the expertise and insight of PHILGBC members.

The nation’s leading companies and organizations participated at the Forum. The Forum was chaired by
former UNEP – International Technology Center, Japan, Deputy Director, Ms. Lilia Casanova.

BERDE – The Building for Ecologically Responsive Design Excellence is the National Green Building Rating System developed by the
PHILGBC.

BERDE is developed by a non-partisan forum composed of the nation’s leaders in industry, professional institutions, academe, and government.
This forum shall be the stage in the ongoing debate on how to measure a building’s sustainability credentials. BERDE will help in determining
the correctness of the claims of the project proponents

BERDE shall be a consensus driven; third party certification, monitoring and verification scheme that will enable all property market players to
benchmark against a single green building rating system, thus leveling the playing field.

BERDE will guide decision makers in industry in designing, constructing and operating greener buildings. Businesses will use BERDE as a
recognizable environmental branding tool that will enable property buyers easily identify buildings that are performing environmentally well.
