and appears in all indexes (tag, profile, etc.). The description will be visible in the entry via the mobile app. Select the
necessary categories and tags (for multiblogging, etc.); MM Slideshow entries will appear on tag and category indexes like
normal entries. Set your publish status to unpublished while you work on adding slides. Once you have the overall slideshow
fields filled out, save your entry. Frequent saving is highly recommended.
Entry preview is fully functional, although some external embeds may not work completely.
Multimedia Slideshow entries may be featured just like a text entry in rivers and feeds. You will find the same entry controls
(Featured, Featured 2) and they may also be featured via the Manage Entries screen.

Adding slides to a Multimedia Slideshow

On a granular level, slides can be thought to have two content wells The "main content" well includes the large MT asset or
text/embed; the secondary content well includes the title, caption and byline. The exception to this is a title slide which will be
addressed below.
** add image of slide **
To add a slide, click the add slide button beneath the Slides header. The following form will open:

fields, the asset data will not be imported. Your changes will not be overwritten.
Make any adjustments to the content and save the slide via the save button directly below the slide content.

Insert Video
Click the Add Image or Add Video button.
Search/select an existing video. The video must be uploaded to a video blog.
Asset data will populate the caption and byline fields if no content is present yet. If content has been input into these
fields, the asset data will not be imported. Your changes will not be overwritten.
Make any adjustments to the content and save the slide via the save button directly below the slide content.

Add Main Content Embed/Text

Embed:
You may embed external content in the main content well of a slide. Note: It is possible to add HTML to a caption, but this is
not within the scope of this project and is not supported.
Suggested embeds include YouTube, PollDaddy, Vimeo, Google Maps, Tweets and SoundCloud.
To add an embed to the main content well:
Click Main Content Text/Embed button.
Place cursor in editor.
RTE buttons will appear.
Click the View Source button and add the HTML.
Make any adjustments to the content and save the slide via the save button directly below the slide content.
Text:
Text may stand alone or be added along with a main MT image or video. The text will appear below the main asset.
To add text in the main content well:
Click the Main Content Text/Embed button.
Place cursor in editor.
RTE buttons will appear.
Add text and format as needed. The RTE is limited but will accept HTML. To add HTML styling, click the View Source
button and input HTML there.
Make any adjustments to the content and save the slide via the save button directly below the slide content.
For all slide types, when finished, click save via the button directly below the slide content and the slide condenses. The
overall entry must also be saved in order for the new slide (or slide edits) to appear on the front end. It is a good
practice to save after every few slides to ensure no work is lost. Content should not be lost on timeouts, but there is a risk of
losing edits if you let the entry time out without saving.

Adding a Title Slide

Example of title slide display:

A title slide is:

The first slide in a slideshow when "Use Title Slide" checkbox is on.
Graphic file - jpg, gif, png
To add a title slide:
Click Add Slide.
Under Main Content Asset, click the Insert Image button. Select or upload your title slide graphic. Image dimensions
must be 960px x 555px for best quality. Only an image is needed for the title slide; any other metadata is not displayed
on the front end. Save the slide.
If the image slide you just created is not the first slide, drag and drop the slide to the top of the list.
Check the box labeled Use Title Slide. The first slide will now have a T to denote that it is the title slide.
Note: If a full slide is moved to position 1, only the main asset will appear if title slide option is on.

Managing Slides
Slide order is managed by drag and drop. The slide number will update as you drag slides and change the order. The entire
entry must be saved to preserve and publish your changes. Manual ordering will be added in a later release.

The main asset may be removed by using the red Remove Asset button. A new asset may then be selected.

Publishing a Multimedia Slideshow

The publishing workflow for multimedia slideshow entries is exactly the same as text entries. A MM Slideshow may be in
unpublished, scheduled or published status and the timestamp and basename are editable (although it is not recommended
to edit the basename after publishing the entry as this can break links on the front end).

Multiblogging a Multimedia Slideshow

There are no extra steps needed to multiblog a Multimedia Slideshow. The entry will multiblog according to the existing rules
in a blog. Like all text entries, it may be multiblogged by blog, tag or category.

FAQ
Browser extensions (example: pop-up blocker) can interact unfavorably with MT admin tools. Please keep this in mind when
creating content in MT.
Make sure you are using an up-to-date version of your browser. Chrome or Firefox are recommended.
Overall Multimedia Slideshow title and description are used for display in the mobile app, home page and page index rivers,
feeds and on profile, tag and search results pages. They do not appear on the slideshow itself.
