Sooner or later we begin to understand that love is more than verses on valentines
and romance in the movies. We begin to know that love is here and now, real and
true, the most important thing in our lives. For love is the creator of our
favourite memories and the foundation of our fondest dreams. Love is a promise
that is always kept, a fortune that can never be spent, a seed that can flourish
in even the most unlikely of places. And this radiance that never fades, this
mysterious and magical joy, is the greatest treasure of all - one known only by
those who love.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not
proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps
no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It
always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
--1 Corinthians 13:4-7

The most wonderful of all things in life, I believe, is the discovery of another
human being with whom one's relationship has a glowing depth, beauty, and joy as
the years increase. This inner progressiveness of love between two human beings is
a most marvelous thing, it cannot be found by looking for it or by passionately
wishing for it. It is a sort of Divine accident.

Remember
Friendship
When you get what you want in your struggle for pelf,
And the world makes you King for a day,
Then go to the mirror and look at yourself,
And see what that guy has to say.
You can fool the whole world down the pathway of years,
And get pats on the back as you pass,
But your final reward will be heartaches and tears
If you've cheated the guy in the glass.
~Dale Wimbrow, 1934
A Golden Chain
Real Friend
It is by chance we met,
by choice we became friends.
Friendship is a strange thing---
we find ourselves telling each other
the deepest details of our lives,
things we don't even share
with our families who raised us.
But what is a friend?
A confidant? A lover?
A fellow email junkie?
A shoulder to cry on?
An ear to listen?
A heart to feel?...
A friend is all these things...
and more.
No matter where we met,
I call you friend.
A word so small yet so large in feeling,
a word filled with emotion.
You My Friend
You my friend
You don't always show it,
but I know that you care.
You My friend
If I'd ever need you,
I know you'd be there.
You My friend
I want you to know:
If you need me--I'm there.
make you happy, make you laugh.
You My friend
Sometimes you make me mad,
but I can't stay mad.
You My friend
Sometimes I want to get away from you.
And sometimes there's nothing I want more than:
to talk to you, to tell you about my day,
to hear about yours, to laugh with you,
to tease you, to share an inside joke,
that no one else would get,
to argue with you,
but know we're just kidding..
You My friend
Do you remember the time when...?
There are so many times.
You My friend
Don't ever lose the wonderful person you are.
Stay happy. Stay healthy. Stay you.
You My friend
I'll never stop being your friend.
Don't ever stop being mine.
You My friend
Just wanted to tell you:
I care.
~Author Unknown
