Read the text on JUNK FOOD and complete the table below.
JUNK FOOD
The next time you decide to eat burger with fries, think twice. These types of
food are junk food, also known as trash food. The name clearly shows how
useless these foods are. The negative effects of eating junk food are many.
Too much of junk food can affect brain functions. A person will be less
focused and would lack concentration. The heart will also not function properly.
This is because of high cholesterol levels in your body.
Obesity is mainly caused by the excessive consumption of junk food. Besides
being overweight, these people also contract other diseases such as high
pressure. In addition, extremely sweet food such as ice-cream, chocolates and milk
shakes can result in mood swings and constipation. Instead of benefiting a person,
these types of food actually cause more negative effects.
To overcome the health issues, it is important that one eats foods with high
nutritional value and high fibre foods.
