To transmit the ordered dishes as information
in the form of data to the kitchen , Zigbee(cc2500) is
used this node is a low cost 2.4GHztransceiver designed for very low power applications , this provides
various modulation formats with data rate up to 500k
baud rate, it has the capability of sending and receiv- ing
64bytes. Can cover up to 50m. This is intended for 24002483.5MHz ISM (Industrial, Scientific and Medical).
V. PC IN KITCHEN
The transmitted information from each and
every table of the restaurant will be received in the
kitchen through Zigbee and this is connected to the PC in
the kitchen through RS232 cable all these infor- mation
will be displayed in the monitor of the kitchen, so that the
supervisor of the monitor can observe the displayed
information and order from each table and give
instructions to the chefs in the kitchen and super- visor
can close the served food to avoid confusions.
VI. DISPLAY OF MENU
The list of available dishes in the restaurant
is displayed in the dining hall of the restaurant so that it
will convey the information to their customers regarding the available dishes and non-available dishes in
their restaurant ,we are proposing a system that will allow
the supervisor to edit the dishes available with different
timings.
A unique code will be displayed for the individual dishes which will allow the users to place the
order without any difficulties.
VII. METHODOLOGY
Customers entering this restaurant for the
food, they will be provided with a individual NFC card
in which they can top-up for the amount they wish to eat
according to their need by paying cash to the cashier
available in the entry of the restaurant and they can also
use ATM card instead of cash , these amount will be
stored into their respective NFC card , customers can get
into the dining table ,where they will be provided with a
simple device in their table.
Menu card will display the available dishes
in the restaurant with a unique code for each dishes ,
then the customer will start the device and enter their
codes in sense of dishes which they are willing to
consume, with the quantity of their wish, after this the
total amount will be displayed in the device along with
the order number for each set of ordering, with this they
can edit the order within some time period, followed by
the instructions to the customer to show their NFC card
to the reader and writer , interfaced with controller. After
that total amount will be deduced from the card and
the bill will be generated, simultaneously order
information will be sent to the kitchen room, there will
be an call assistant key for the illiterate peoples for a
special case. The prepared dish will be served by the
server to the customer, this method of ordering and bill
payment .

X.EXISTING METHODS
Many restaurants are now in need for serving the
customers without disappointing even in the high traffic
areas to hold their customers, for this hotel management is
following many methods

XII. REFERENCES
Buzzer is kept in a every tables to call the waiter to
order the dishes.
In PDA device method, waiter will be holding this
device in which the application have been installed by using this
PDA device waiter can send ordered information to the
kitchen in wireless medium.
Another method is implemented using web services
in this computer has to be placed in every table ,which has all
the dishes available in the restaurant and its prices , these
computers is connected to the single administrator who handles all the information received from the table, this will be
analyzed and routed to the PC in the kitchen.
All these methods doesn't have the function of billing and payment, implementation cost is high power consumption is more and cannot be adopted by all type of restaurant .
XI.DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION
This proposed embedded system will be in a way to find the
solutions for the existing problems in the restaurant, and to
reduce the man power in restaurant, nowadays the manual food
ordering system involves more issues like the waiter mistakes
in taking order, mistakes in delivering the dishes to the another
table without proper guidance and mistakes in billing .
