Notes
1. Hindi alphabets L () or and LL () are different. For example L () is pronunciated as in
Kal () and the accent of LL () is like we utter the word Hall (Plough )
2. Devanagari alphabets may not be visible on some computers - some PCs do not support
Devanagari fonts. Those viewers should install Devanagari font 'Mangal' - for details, please
see the thread Tips for use of Hindi on your computer
(http://www.jatland.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13233) in Tech Talk
(http://www.jatland.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=17) forum. You may also use the toolbar at
the bottom of the edit window to add non english characters.
3. A simple technique to insert an equivalent hindi word to a Romanized Haryanvi word is to type
and copy from Devnagari Editor (http://www.chhahari.com/unicode/) .?
4. (Due care has been taken to ensure that the word is purely of desi origion and is not commonly
used in written form in Hindi language - however, there may be a few exceptions. The spellings
in Roman alphabets have been set in such a way that the desi word is pronunciated in the
most accurate accent as far as possible. )
