Peter arose and went with them.
When he arrived, they took him into the
upper chamber.
And all the widows stood around him,
weeping, and showing him the
cloaks and garments that Dorcas
had made while she was with them.
After putting them all outside, Peter
knelt down, and prayed.
And turning to the body, he said:
Tabitha! Arise!
She opened her eyes, and when she
beheld Peter, she sat up.
He gave her his hand, and helped her
up, and when he had called the
Saints and widows, he presented
her to them, alive.
And it became known throughout all

ST JOHN 5 : 1 15

YEARS BY OUR

LORD JESUS CHRIST

At that time our Lord Jesus went up to

Jerusalem.
There is in Jerusalem, by the Sheep
Gate, a pool, which is called in
Hebrew: Bethesda, having five
porches.
In these lay a great multitude of sick
people: blind, lame and paralysed
waiting for the moving of the water.
An Angel went down at a certain time
into the pool and stirred up the
water.
Whoever stepped in first, after the
stirring of the water, was made well
of whatever disease he had.
A certain man was there who had an
infirmity for thirty-eight years.
When Jesus saw him lying there, and
knew that he already had been in
that condition for a long time, He
said to him: Do you want to be
made well?
The sick man answered Him: Sir, I
have no man to put me into the pool
when the water is stirred up; and
while I am going, another steps
down before me.
Jesus said to him: Rise. Take up your
bed and walk.
And immediately the man was made
well, took up his bed and walked.
That day was the Sabbath.
The Hebrews, therefore, said to him

When they had washed her, they laid
her in an upper chamber.
And due to the fact that Lydda was
close to Joppa, and the Disciples
had heard that Peter was there, they
sent two men to him, requesting
