ABOUT LAST NIGHT: Tacomas three-game

Sacramento. Stefen Romero and Patrick Kivlehan
both sent out solo home runs to account for the
Rainiers pair of runs. Starting pitcher Sam Gaviglio

eight hits, striking out two and walking one. Andrew
Kittredge, making his 2015 Rainiers debut, tossed
2.0 innings of scoreless relief, allowing two hits and
striking out two. Kivlehans 2-for-4 night extended
his hitting streak to four games.
QUIK MARTE: Rainiers infielder Ketel Marte leads

this year. The Mariners No. 4 prospect is hitting .301
(22x73) with two doubles and seven RBI.
THE PEN IS MIGHTIER: The Tacoma bullpen
has combined to toss 17.1 consecutive innings
without allowing a run. The unit has a 3.00 ERA
(23ERx69.0IP) on the year, and has allowed only 13
hits and issued two walks over the scoreless streak.
BAWCOM DOWN: Reliever Logan Bawcom is
currently alone in fourth place on the Rainiers all-time
saves list with 28. He has one this year, after recording
six last year and 21 in 24 opportunities during 2014.
He is eight shy of all-time leader Jim Corsi (36).
BACK IN THE SAC: Starting pitcher Mike Kickham
has made two career starts against the River Cats,
both at Raley field. In those two contests he has a
3.00 ERA (3ERx9.0IP) with six strikeouts.
HEATING UP: Outfielder Patrick Kivlehan, who was
hitting .182 (6x33) through his first eight games of
the season, is now hitting .274 (17x62) with a teamleading five home runs. He has hit safely in seven
of his last eight games, going .379 (11x29) with two
doubles, three home runs, and three RBI. His .379
mark since April 18 is the tenth best in the PCL.
DUNN DEAL: River Cats left-handed starting pitcher
Jake Dunning has faced the Rainiers four times in
his career (1 GS), with a 2.16 ERA (2ERx8.1IP). In
his lone start against Tacoma on August 31 of 2014,
he allowed two runs on two home runs through 5.0
innings of work. One of the two home runs was
hit by current Rainiers outfielder Stefen Romero.
Dunning has allowed an opponent batting average
of .344 (21x61) this season, and Rainiers batters are

ended an inning with three men stranded on base.

currently posting a fourth best in the PCL .282
(104x369) batting average on the road, compared to
.246 (65x264) at home. The team has hit 22 doubles
