Legal Requirement On Power Factor Correction

Power2 factor correction charge (18.75% of total

electricity consumption) is applicable for
Following classes unable to maintain monthly average
PF at least 0.95

Residential
and non residential light & electricity/charitable

organization where approved load is more than 10 kW
Office/Commercial class where approved load is more than
20 kW
Small scale industry where approved load is more than 50 kW
3 phase 400V street water pump consumer class
3 phase 400V Irrigation pump (> 15HP)for agricultural field
Consumer(General Use) under 11kV, 33kV , 132kV classes

Legal Requirement On Solar Panel Installation

Solar 2panel shall be installed while taking new

electricity connection/load extension as per
following basis

Residential consumer with load more than 2kw , shall

install solar panel for at least 3% of its total demand load

Industrial
and commercial consumer with load at most
50kW, shall install solar panel for at least 7% of its total light
& fan load
Industrial and commercial consumer with load more than
50kW, shall install solar panel for at least 10% of its total
light & fan load
Garment Industries shall install solar panel for at least 5%
of its total light & fan load
