IBEX Bionomics is a US company with manufacturing operations in Colombia, specializing in the

development of bionomic products for Agriculture, Environmental Remediation, Bio-Industry, and
Human Health.
We integrate natural life processes to obtain innovative, sustainable environmentally friendly
solutions, applied to bio-economic systems
Since 2010, our highly experienced research and development (R&D) team has been developing a
group of products known as Enzymatic Potentiators for Agro-Chemicals or EPACs. These are
commercially viable, 100% organic products with the potential to revolutionize the agrochemical
industry by greatly reducing the amounts of agrochemicals used, while maintaining or improving
efficacy
Our goal is to develop products that support more sustainable, environmentally friendly
agricultural practices to significantly increase environmental and economic benefits for all.

E PA C S
EPACs are 100% organic adjuvant potentiators obtained from natural metabolites that

Significantly reduce the impact of ingredients in pesticides for agricultural applications

Maintain or, in some cases, increase the efficiency levels of agro-chemicals (AC)
Reduce costs for growers and consumers, while increasing margins for manufacturers

Laboratory and field tests with eight of the most commonly used ACs have shown the following
reductions in active ingredient while maintaining or increasing efficacy:
Glyphosate (Herbicide) = 50%
Metamidophos (Insecticide) = 50%
Bispyribac (Herbicide) = 50%
Azoxystrobin (Fungicide) = 75%
Paraquat (Herbicide) = 50%
Atrazine (Herbicide) = 60%
Chlorpirifos (Insecticide) =50%
Picloram+2,4D (Herbicide) = 60%

Similar results are expected for 12 other ingredients being tested in 2015
from an active pipeline of over 40 molecules to be tested over the next two years.

For over 50 years the agriculture industry norm has been to apply AC pesticides and fertilizers
for crop protection and yield increase, creating significant environmental and health related
problems worldwide:

Agriculture: Resistance to ACs by weeds and plagues have led to overuse or the
continued development of ACs with increasing levels of toxicity
Soil & Water: About 75% of soil and water quality problems originate from AC uses
Biodiversity: Overuse of ACs has gravely increased the threat of biodiversity collapse,
impacting beneficial species of insects, fishes, birds, microorganisms and others
Human Health: Many studies link direct and indirect exposure of ACs to higher risks of
cancer, autoimmune diseases, endocrine disorders, and others

IBEX believes that the EPACs it is producing will contribute to the remediation of this situation
and implementation of more sustainable industry norms for Agriculture and other
environmentally affected areas.

The worldwide AC market of about US$200 billion in 2012 is underpinned by high growth rates, particularly in
Latin America (LatAm).
IBEXs efforts started in LatAm to take advantage of one of the worlds largest regional AC markets and the
expertise found in Colombia for the development and production of IBEXs products:
A team of 6 experienced scientists support our R&D and operational efforts
LatAm AC market of about US$50 billion in 2012 represented 25% of the global market
LatAm has the world's fastest growing demand for AC, recently about 25% annually
Increasing dissemination of scientific findings and studies linking a number of serious illnesses and adverse
health conditions to AC exposure are putting growing pressure on growers, manufacturers and regulatory
agencies to find more sustainable solutions for a safer and more environmentally friendly agricultural model,
resulting in:
Growing broad market demand for environmentally safer solutions and products
Government AC concentration regulations becoming stricter on a global basis

Agricultural EPACs aim to potentiate : Herbicides
Fungicides
Insecticides
Fertilizers
Each EPAC has a specific formulation and mode of action particular
to the main active ingredient being potentiated
The EPACs mode of action can be broken down into three functions:

CONTACT ABSORPTION TRANSLOCATION

H O W E PA C S W O R K
CONTACT
Pesticides first penetrate the surface of the target host, be it an insect, plant, or fungus.
Conventional Mode of Action and Problems
The common molecules of conventional pesticides (made up mostly of Oxygen, Nitrogen,
Phosphorous and Sulfur) have strong intermolecular attraction, creating a large superficial area,
complicating solid contact with the host due to its surface morphology.
A small percentage of the AC is absorbed by the host, while most of it either remains inactive on
the surface or gets introduced into the environment by falling onto the soil or evaporating into
the atmosphere.
EPAC Advantage
The EPACs organic composition breaks the intermolecular bond of the AC, and forces them to
bond with the additive instead, creating a more stable molecule.
A better distribution on the hosts surface and a more stable molecule aids with product
penetration.
This increases efficacy with a lesser amount of the active ingredient and reduces environment
contamination and residuality as a result of run off or evaporation.

ABSORPTION
Conventional Mode of Action and Problems
When an AC is able to penetrate the surface, the hosts defense mechanisms attack it in order to
lessen its effects. This resistance makes it necessary for larger amounts of AC to be used in order
to be effective.
EPAC Advantage
EPACs are composed of secondary and tertiary metabolites, resulting from an already
registered pending patent process, that are recognized by the hosts as compatible nutrients
for themselves.
These metabolites mask the AC from the hosts defenses, the nutrient is absorbed and the
hosts defense mechanisms are bypassed.
As the potentiated compound is absorbed, it is introduced into the hosts active and passive
nutrition transportation system, more effectively transporting the AC through the host and
facilitating its action.

TRANSLOCATION

EPAC Advantage
As the potentiated compound enters the host and the AC begins to interrupt
vital physiological processes, the EPAC inhibits the hosts enzymatic
detoxification system. Normally, this system would create antibiotics or
other metabolites to counteract the effects of the AC, but by inhibiting the
hosts system, the potentiated compound is able to carry out its intended
purpose more efficiently.

OVERALL BENEFITS OF EPAC -POTENTIATED ACs

The EPACs secondary and tertiary metabolites are compatible with the hosts organic molecules, thus being
recognized as nutrients and facilitating absorption
The EPACs organic composition optimizes the ACs effect, thus reducing the amount of AC required by 50%
to as much as 75%
Substantial active ingredient reduction goes hand in hand with reduced environmental contamination and
residuality
Avoids loss of the AC due to chemical oxidation or through rejection or run-off that would result from low
adhesion of the products
Products containing EPAC can be classified as Clean Development Mechanisms (CDM) by reducing the
amount of ACs that evaporate into the atmosphere

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

An in depth search with patent attorneys and the IBEX technical

team has found no products or patents similar to the EPACs in
mode of action, function or manufacturing process

The EPAC products have been registered under the Patent

Cooperation Treaty (PCT), providing patent protection in 148
countries and are Patent Pending.

E PA C M A R K E T I N G P L A N
EPACs are disruptors that promise to establish a new sustainable industry norm

Work is already underway with a leading AC manufacturer in Colombia on two fronts:

(i) existing product launch in Colombia, including a large scale marketing campaign to
educate the end user, which started in March 2015
(ii) test 32 additional active ingredients, in order to establish percent reduction and field
dosage for each AC for the development of future products
Similar relationships are being sought with other leading AC manufacturers in Mexico,
Ecuador, Peru, Argentina, Panama, Bolivia, and Brazil

E PA C M A R K E T I N G P L A N

EPACs will be sold to leading AC manufacturers or mixers (MoMs) with

established AC product sales and distribution in their own respective
markets

EPACs will initially be sold as a finished product for mixing with the proper
AC by the individual end-user. Eventually, it will be sold as an input product
for pre-mixing by the MoM, with the potentiated AC sold as the finished
product

The long term goal is to test all commercially viable ACs and to expand
distribution globally as the EPACs are first technologically established and
commercially proven in LatAm
