Has arrangements with Amtrak, that allows Greyhound to serve the passengers
not provided by the railway station

History of Railways in the Philippines

General plan to establish a railroad line was declared by King Alfonso XII of Spain
(6/25/1987)
First 195 kilometer railway line from Manila to Dagupan in Northern Luzon
opened for operation (1892); line was extended to Legaspi in the south and to La
Union in the north (1940)
Republic Act No. 4156, charter was passed renaming the railway system to
Philippine National Railways
Under Arroyo, the Strong Republic Transit System was born. Aims to provide an
integrated mass transit system

amended by E.O. No. 830 (1982) and E.O. No. 210 (1987)
