The technology uses a dual mode of identification where along with the user id
and password, verification is done through a secure randomly generated one
time password (OTP)
The OTP is generated by a security device given to authorized users who keep
them in their possession. To verify a transaction using second factor of
authentication, the device displays a changing number that is typed in as a
password. The new number is based on a predefined unbreakable randomized
algorithm.

Process

User name and Password are authenticated as normally

If true, user is prompted to enter his One Time Password

User name and OTP are validated from AuthShield Server

If true, user is given access to the application

7. Features

The token generates a new password after every Ninety Six (96) seconds

The token is in Time sync with the server. The same OTP is generated at
the token as well as the server

Each token is unique to the user and synchronized with the server

The password is based on a pre-defined unbreakable randomized

algorithm

8. Applications
AuthShield Hard Token can be integrated with any application which requires
user name and password. The Two Factor Authentication can be integrated
with any IT infrastructure including but not limited to Mail Servers, VPNs, Web
Applications, ERPs, Desktop / Mobile Mail Clients, in-house applications,
desktop logons, wi-fi, servers logon etc.
