OBSERVATION TEST
We were divided into groups of 20 with two observers per group. After the
prayer service we went to a room where we were paired. We were given 5
minutes to be acquainted with our partner. At the end of the stipulated time,
we had to introduce our partners to the rest of the group.
A roll of toilet paper was passed around and we were instructed to take as
much as we wanted without divulging the nature of the activity to be
performed. Each candidate was then given exactly one minute to reveal one
thing about them for every square of toilet paper they had taken. For
example a candidate who took 16 squares of toilet paper would have to
reveal 16 aspects of their personality all in the span of one minute.
For the next activity, candidates were divided into groups of 5, and each
group was given a picture puzzle which we had to solve without verbally
communicating.
The candidates were shuffled between the groups and asked to make a
collage, based on the problems that the world faces today and also on the
theme, 'heal the world and make it a better place'. One person per group had
to also explain the collage
.
After lunch, we were given a case study.
Due to an atomic explosion, you and ten other people are put in a
bomb shelter. However the radioactive fallout lasts for at least a
month. The bomb shelter has food and water supplies only for six
people for a month. You have to choose five people who will be
permitted to stay in the shelter and 5 who will be eliminated. The
people are,
1. A guidance counsellor, who is good at organizing and pacifying
people, yet seems cold and indifferent.
2. An attractive nutritionist who can divide the food and ration the
amount as per dietary requirements however she can be
domineering and bossy although good at controlling people.
3. A sixteen year old writer who can tell stories and entertain
people.
4. Nita, a pregnant mother who is going to deliver in two months.
She is pleasant but also gets nervous and tensed due to her
condition.
5. Nita's husband is a physician who has lots of practical experience
due to his time in clinics. However he agrees to stay only if Nita
allows her to stay.
6. A 65 year old priest, who is a great source of comfort to all the
people around. However he faints when excited and is diabetic so
requires a special diet.
7. A well-built basketball player who is calm and is also the only one
strong enough to open the door of the shelter.
8. A nineteen year old guitar player who is cheerful and talented at
music. However he can be irritating at times.
9. A nuclear physicist who has vital information about the unclearly
fallout. However she is spoiled and cannot bear the thought of not
having a bath or living in the same clothes or sharing space with
others.
10. A 26 year old mechanic who is necessary for fixing and
maintaining the functioning of air purifiers and oxygen supply
systems. However he has no self-control and tends to take more
than his share of food and water supply
The day was ended with a prayer session.

up and want to discharge Sameer from hospital.
