Presidents Session
Keiei Dojo
Unlike any course taught at conventional business
schools, Keiei Dojo is a course where students are
asked to study books and discuss their findings with
classmates. The books that students are asked to read
in Keiei Dojo are on topics that have had an impact on
President Hori. Through lively discussion, students find
out what the implications are for becoming leaders,
what they may be missing, and where they may need
to challenge themselves.
Reflection Session
The purpose of the reflection session is to help
students objectively look at their current strengths and
weaknesses, their personal mission, and to construct a
plan for their remaining studies at GLOBIS. This session
is unique to GLOBIS and is regarded as an essential tool
to enhance the growth of our students and help them
monitor and develop their ultimate goal in life.
Aya Murota
Japan, MBA of 2013
GLOBIS is a place where you can expand your horizons and gain
inspiration. Meeting so many amazing people from different backgrounds
has really helped put my own goals into perspective and reflect on my
personal mission in life. My time here has helped me discover my goal of
creating links between Japan and other Asian economies, and this goal
will guide me in my career after graduation.

Rick Colby
United States, MBA of 2014
GLOBIS classes allow you to actively participate, so you gain a much
deeper understanding of the concepts from the teacher and fellow
students. Taking classes at night after work, I appreciate the fast-paced,
high energy classes and prefer them to passively listening to long
lectures. The curriculum focus is very practical and applicable to my
work, and because the lecturers are all practicing business professionals,
the case studies are an entry point to a wealth of current, real world
experience and insights. Listening to how these concepts are utilized in
contemporary business gives me an unparalleled edge.

Christina Tsao
Taiwan, MBA of 2012
Job-hunting in Japan can be really tough without
the right connections. As part of my MBA studies at
GLOBIS, I was able to gain an internship at a major
manufacturing company. This gave me a chance
to apply the skills I had been learning in class, and
after graduation the company offered me a job, so I
returned as an employee!

The Philippines, MBA of 2013
Life in Tokyo is never, ever boring. Whether you want
to go shopping, sightseeing, or just chill out in a park
with friends, this city will offer you choices that no
other city can. It is also a great place to learn about
business there are more Fortune 500 companies here
than anywhere else, and I think we can learn a lot from
the Japanese management style.
