Chapter I

INTRODUCTION
Everybody knows that the terminals are the transportation for the needs
of commuters so the group made a terminal near from the universities. As
the researchers about this thing we found out that transportation is the
movement of people, animals and goods from one location to another.
Having our own terminals we can make the commuters be fast at their
location where they are going. Managing this kind of business may also
result in our economys growth by preventing financial problems to cope
up to the needs of the community.
The groups business is called Espaa Transport Terminal , a agency of
sasakyan nila,

Background of the Study

Humans' first means of land transport was walking. The domestication of
animals introduces a new way to lay the burden of transport on more
powerful creatures, allowing heavier loads to be hauled, or humans to ride
the animals for higher speed and duration. Inventions such as the wheel
and sled helped make animal transport more efficient through the
introduction of vehicles. However, water transport, including rowed and

sailed vessels, was the only efficient way to transport large quantities or
over large distances prior to the Industrial Revolution. The first forms
of road transport were horses, oxen or even humans carrying goods
over dirt tracks that often followed game trails. Transportation have
become part by the people who are in need. Over the past few years
transportation changed into progressive form of vehicles.

every person while waiting for a ride home and other places. They are
manufacturing unique transportation that is air conditioned and we will
make you comfortable while you are riding on a vehicle. They are going to
construct our business by searching and visiting some transportation
terminal which can help us to fabricate our own business. The group
operated a survey to know the opinions and the suggestions needs and

wants of our would-be customers.

MARKET STUDY
A. Market Environment
Our target customers are those who are near in university belt mostly for
the students who will go home from school and to those workers who are
near here. As a student, just like us who will go to college we will find
difficulties in going home because there are so many circumstances. In
our business, it is more convenient and faster when it comes to going
home. We are careful to the safety of each passenger for them to go
home safely.
B. Supply and Demand Analysis
We need a lot for for our terminal and we will fix this to form a stall of
foods wherein we will allow people to rent for it. Our jeeps and uv express

will also rent in our stall. Our problem is when we lacked on our uv
express and jeeps, we will just provide more uv express and jeeps for it
will fasten the travel of each jeep or uv express.
C. Survey Results
We have accomplished a survey to ask the opinion for our business, to
gain more information and for the group to be able to find out whether
our customers and markets would accept our products. All of the facts
gathered here came from 50 people with their own set of opinions. These
are the results of our survey.

Figure 1. The figure shows how many are fond of riding UV express. It
shows that there is a possibility that our business will be successful and
will have many of customers.

Figure 2. The figure shows how many are familiar of UV express. You can
notice that mostly the answer is yes.

Figure 3. This figure shows how much does people usually pay for the
fare in riding UV express or a jeep; people are fond of paying PHP50PHP70. Because now people are aware of their budget when it comes to
their personal needs.

Figure 4. This figure shows how often do they ride UV express and Jeep.
