Why?
What if, between the layers of reality and fantasy lies a place of pure
Joy that weve all been to but rarely get to explore?
That place is Nostalgia. Its a very powerful emotion that I believe
has only grown as the world becomes faster. That is why Im writing
this story. I want to take the reader back to a place of joy, a place of
safety and warmth.
To me, there are many things that bring us to a place like that.
Often its smells, tastes or even touch. But to me, it is a single day of
the year. Halloween.
Halloween is a time that always has a nostalgic aura around it.
From the smells of spices, to the warmer colors nature takes before
winter takes its place. I believe Halloween to be a special time.
Thats why Ive taken this as the backdrop to my vision youll read in
the overall Concept.

Overall Concept:
In a Mysterious world where everyday seems like Halloween,
filled with strange creatures and spirits, Goblins and witches. This is
no place for a child...
This is a story of a young boy, Thomas, who wakes up in such a
place. With no understanding of where he is or how he got there, He
begins a journey to discovery a whole new world and to find his way
home. While he may find many friends along the way, everything is
not always what it seems and an evil lurks at every corner.

Ongoing Characters:
other character types in world setting
Protagonist:
Thomas- Is a 10 y/o boy that wakes up in a weird land.
After coming to grips with this new problem he is
determined to explore and find his way home.
Characteristics: Skinny, more so scrawny, 10
years of age, still very pure minded, Adventurous,
Often not very Scared of his surrounding*, disregards
warnings or danger. Loves to tell dumb jokes that make
him laugh even if no one else is.
Supporting:
Chester- Hundreds of years before, he was a young
man that, while walking through the forest, was cursed
by a witch and his spirit was removed from his body.
After having roamed the world for years, he has
become bitter and full of hate. Losing all hope years
ago that hed ever get his body back, he goes and
haunts local villages.

Characteristics: Hates Witches, Height-around 59,

is 2 different shades of grey (His top half a darker
pleated grey, while his bottom is a lighter tone)
Gladus- beautiful witch, born into a very prominent
family of witches and Warlocks. She secretly wants to,
instead of curse and practice black magic as her family
does, use her powers to heal and make medicine. After
her family becomes aware of her intentions, she is
cursed and loses all of her beautiful features and
forced to live under a bridge.
Characteristics: 19 y/o but looks like she is in her
80s, with wart all over her face, nose pointed out, and
humped over. Very much what you think of when
visualizing a witch.
Side Characters:
Librarian Gnome: Set of 3 brother Gomes that is Head
of Warhill Library. Usually grumbling about something
and always enforcing the Library Rule #1: Always
whisper. Used as comedic relief
Gerald: Gerald is a skeleton that is the head of police
for the city of Warhill. Very racist to humans but fair
within the law. (Most skeletons are racist against
humans as they feel humans think they are better for
having flesh)
Nubs: An old hermit frog that often predicts of coming
dangers. Has only 1 eye.
E-hor: I wounded Pirate that works as a lighthouse
controller. No one knows but hes actually blind. Talks
in a very thick pirate-y accent that makes it very hard
to understand.

Villain:
The Beyonder: Shadowy creature that lives in the dark
realm. Very Manipulative and smooth talking to his
prey. Will often exploit his enemys inner demons or
thoughts
Characteristics: talks in a small voice, has never
actually been seen before as he lives in the darkness,
he kills his victims by entering their shadow and
invades their dream once they fall asleep. Terrifying
them to death in their slumber.
World Setting
Depicted as a world filled with a multitude of creatures.
Inhabitants of this world:
Witches
Gnomes
Skeletons
Ghosts/Spirits
Fairies
Goblins
Pirates
Elves
Vampires
Humans
The Beyonders
This world is accepting of most of its inhabitants,
although as in real life there are racial prejudices and
class systems.
I want to show that no matter what or who you are
these problems still exist.

There are many small villages around the main city of

Warhill, each carrying a segregation of creature, while
the city acts as an neutral point.
