Section 105.5.

"Alcohol and/or Other Drug Abuse Recovery, Treatment, or Detoxification Services" means any
one or more of the following services uniquely designed to alleviate or preclude alcohol and/or other drug
problems in the individual, their family, and/or the community: detoxification, group sessions, individual
sessions, educational sessions, and recovery or treatment planning.
Section 105.42. "Alcohol and/or Other Drug Program" or "Program" means a nonresidential program that
provides alcohol and/or other drug abuse recovery, treatment, or detoxification services to individuals who are
recovering from problems related to alcohol and/or other drug abuse.
Section 105.59. " Alcoholism or Drug Abuse Recovery or Treatment Facility" or Facility means any
premises, place, building, or group of buildings where 24-hour, residential, nonmedical services are provided to
adults (or adolescents as specified in Section 303 of this Chapter) who are recovering from problems related to
alcohol and/or other drug abuse and who need alcohol and/or other drug abuse recovery, treatment, or
detoxification services.
Section 105.8. "Assessment" means an individualized, in-depth review including level of care and
resident or
participant strengths and needs, to provide baseline information regarding life domains, i.e., alcohol and/or other
drug use, medical, employment, legal, social, psychological, family, environment and special needs.
Section 105.17. "Counseling" means a face-to-face, one-on-one interaction, or a group or family interaction,
with a staff and/or volunteer, as specified in Section 105.175 of this Chapter, for the purpose of identifying the
resident or participant's problems and needs, setting goals and interventions, and practicing new behaviors.
Section 105.175 "Counselor" means an individual who is certified in accordance with the requirements of
(counselor certification regulations). Any individual who performs at least one of the following core
functions, must be certified: assessment and continuing assessment; treatment planning and implementation;
professional referral; individual, group, family, and significant other counseling; and clinical documentation.
Section 105.24. "Education Session" means a planned, structured, didactic presentation of information related to
alcoholism or alcohol abuse and/or other drug abuse or addiction.
Section 105.28. "Group session" means a face-to-face staff and/or volunteer facilitated meeting of, at minimum,
three (3) residents or participants which focuses on identification and resolution of alcohol and/or other drug
abuse related problems as identified in the individuals recovery or treatment plan.
Section 105.33. "Individual Session" means a face-to-face, one-on-one interaction between a resident or
participant and a staff and/or volunteer, that focuses on identification and resolution of alcohol and/or other
drug abuse related problems as identified in the individuals recovery or treatment plan.
Section 105.54. "Recovery" means an ongoing process including social, cultural, vocational, and recreational
activities provided in a staff guided, peer-supported, alcohol- and drug-free environment, designed to teach
skills conducive to abstinence from alcohol and illicit drugs.
Section 105.55. "Recovery Services" means the alcohol and/or other drug abuse services based on the admission
assessment and provided by the licensee to a self-actuated resident who is responsible for maintaining lifestyle
changes conducive to abstinence from alcohol and illicit drugs.
Section 105.70 "Treatment Services" means a level of care of service conducive to abstinence from alcohol and
illicit drugs, provided by the licensee or provider to a resident or participant, to address the individuals
treatment needs as identified in the resident assessment.
