Turhan holds a PhD in

engineering and is currently
a successful software
engineer in the finance
industry.
He is also passionate about
politics and keen to contribute
to society, and make politics
more accessible for the
younger generation.
Born of Turkish and Kurdish
parents, Turhan moved to
London over 18 years ago.
Coming from a large family
with strong community ties in
UK as well as across Europe,
he was motivated to join
Ethnic Minority Liberal
Democrats, a platform
championing equality and
human rights for all.
Turhan has a strong
campaigning record, working
with an effective local Lib Dem

team that listen to what

residents want here and
delivers for residents.
This has made Turhan
determined to campaign to
represent Tottenhams diverse
communities as their new
local MP.
Turhan believes residents here
deserve a stronger economy
and a fairer society.
