in a global environment. Mentored QA Engineers, Technical Writers and Junior Managers.

Summa Four, inc. – Manchester, NH
Sr. Software QA Engineer
 Represented Test Engineering on project teams to develop unit test cases, report status and drive problem
resolution.
 Performed and developed manual and automated tests for a Specialty Digital [telephone] Switch (SDS)
running on Vxworks. Developed numerous test cases in C and SunOS shell script.
 Designed and wrote an object oriented (C++) tool for quickly modeling custom applications, saving
significant time and money when customer problems needed to be replicated in the lab.
 Assisted Customers with design related problems in Summa Four products.
 Measured test coverage in application software running on Vxworks, targeting test suite enhancements to
improve coverage.

Hewlett Packard – Exeter, NH
Manufacturing Test Engineer (1988 – 1993)
 Developed and maintained automated processes and systems for product QA test, burn-in and final
acceptance test in Computer Manufacturing.
 Diagnosed problems found in QA and manufacturing, then worked with R&D and vendors to resolve them.
 Part of an international team that developed automated test systems for all HP Computer Manufacturing.

Sustaining Engineer (1983 – 1988)


 Diagnosed and corrected design problems in CPU, memory, disk controller and I/O circuits. Tested and
redesigned computer systems for FCC, Part 95 emissions compliance.
 Escorted Service Engineers into the field to investigate and solve difficult product problems at customer
locations.
 Diagnosed component failures then worked with vendors to correct problems.
 Evaluated alternately sourced components for inclusion on the Approved Vendor List (AVL).
