The soul emerges with its own agenda.

The soul calls individual artists

beyond their sense of isolation into a life of love and deeper meaning. The
soul demands that we experience our own divinity and find a way to express
it in service to the wider world. The creative drive must come into alignment
with the divine will. ''Not my will but Thine.'' The soul -- our greater, higher
self -- can work with the smaller egoic self through art. Art becomes a bridge
to the spiritual in everyday life.
The soul inspires artists with visions, sounds, stories, and actions so that they
might share them with their community. Artists of good will create their work
as a service to spirit's presence and as an offering of insight, healing, and joy
to others. Art is in essence a gift to the artist from spirit. The drive to share
one's artwork with others is healthy and necessary. The gift must be given to
the world. Spirit is priceless and nonmaterial, yet it can be potently
symbolized and accessed through contemplating great art. [...] If we could
understand everything and clearly define everything about art it would cease
to be art. One can know art to a degree with the intellect and emotions, but
one returns to contemplate great works because in their unfathomable
mystery is a mirror for the soul.

''[...] but like Goya's work it has lasting value because it unites shocking and
inventive composition with the universal message of moral courage against
political violence.''

''Patients have been asked to make art as a means of diagnosing their mental
condition, and the healing potential of creativity is well recognized. Artists
can make cathartic works to purge the psychic demons of sickness, the fears
of mortality, anger , grief, guilt, anxiety and inner imagery of victimization.
Some artists spend their lives portraying the demonic shadow, the vulnerable
and pathological side of the mind. As long as artists remain true to their
authentic experience and vision, there is healing value in their creative effort.
Just as important is the imagery of hope and renewal, of the self transformed,
radiant with life and already well and whole. At is a natural expression of each
artist's unique life force. Our most meaningful creative work comes from deep
inside and is an affirmation of the energy and flow of life. Art that affirms life
seeds the unconscious of both artist and audience with the positive message:
''Life is wrth preserving and encouraging to achieve its highest potential.''

''By submiting to what is peculiar to themselves, artists attaint originality

and, paradoxically, express the uniquely universal.

''The creativity or artists is nothing other than universal creativity manifesting

through us on a microlevel. The trick for most artists is to get themselves out
of the way and let the spirit do it's work.''
''The technique of art needs to become meditation, a way of concentratedly
''staying in the moment'', allowing the hum and buzz of distracting thoughts
to just arise and dissolve, bringing the concentration ever back to the
mystery of art as spirit taking form.''
''Wisdom and healing songs are transmitted to the wounded healer during the
shamanistic journey. The shaman's journey is a healing mission for the sake
of the physical, mental, and spiritual welfare of their community.''
