Task
1. Reason/ goal
An aircraft mechanic may encounter a situation where a resistor, is causing a
problem. He must verify the proper function of the device. He must also be capable
find out the value, by using the charts. The physical appearance of the devise is also
important
Important note: Any circuit you designed and build MUST be inspected before you
put power on the circuit.

2. Hypothesis
- To comply with the curriculum of the AMTS it is very important that the student
gets familiar with the physical appearance of resistors.
- They must understand the different values of the resistances, the open condition
and the normal operating conditions.
- Also they will experience the change in resistance value in de different types of
resistor circuits.
- With the use of a multimeter al the above criterias can be verified.
- At the same time, the student is developing his measuring skills.

5 Resistor circuits
- Using three resistors (or lamps of known resistance) design a series and a
parallel circuit.
- Measure the total resistance of both circuits, using the proper ohm meter.
Verify the measured resistance with the resistance formulas.
