Select About Vodafone Mobile Broadband
Details window will be displayed containing the release number.

Requirements

Any Mac with an Intel processor and at least 2GB of RAM.

Other installation requirements

You need administrative rights to install Vodafone Mobile Broadband for Mac on your Mac.

How to check your Macs operating system version

Open the About This Mac window from under the Apple icon in the top left-hand corner of
the screen. The operating system version is shown beneath the heading OS X. Note all
three numbers, eg. 10.8.4.

Firmware
Firmware updates cannot be performed on Apple Mac computers, only on computers
running Microsoft Windows
Contact Support if you feel a firmware update is necessary.

How to check which firmware is installed

1) Start Vodafone Mobile Broadband
2) In the Vodafone Mobile Broadband software menu, select Help and then
Diagnostics
3) Open the tab Device
4) The firmware version is listed as Revision number.

Mac Hardware Revisions

There are often adjustments to the hardware of a Mac model before it is replaced by a
completely new model. Some hardware revisions may have particular problems with
mobile devices.

How to the check hardware revision of your Mac

1) Open the About This Mac window from under the Apple icon in the top left-hand
corner of your screen
2) Click on More info button
3) The HW revision is the second line in the first window, which is shown by default.
For example, a Revision 1 MacBook Pro is shown as MacBookPro1,1; a Revision 2
MacBook Pro as MacBookPro2,1. The first number in each case is the hardware revision.

Removal Instructions
To remove the Vodafone Mobile Broadband application:
Open Applications/Vodafone Utilities
Double-click VMB Uninstaller
Select Remove application only to uninstall the application but retain your settings and
data (eg. SMS messages). Or, alternatively, select Remove everything to uninstall the
application and delete your settings and data
Confirm your selection by clicking Yes
Enter your Administrator password to allow the Uninstaller to run

Known Issues and Limitations

Software:
If a device does not keep count of the number of times the PIN is incorrectly entered,
the Vodafone Mobile Broadband application will attempt to keep count. In some
situations, this counter is not precise.
The connection duration time is relative to the system time (similar to Wi-Fi
connections).
Update manager: If you download an update, cancel its installation and then try to
install the same update again straight away, the installation will complete but the main
Update Manager window will not close automatically; you'll need to close it manually.
This does not affect the update process itself.
Devices General:
Changing the SIM PIN2 with PUK2 is possible with the following devices: Vodafone
K3565-Z, K3570-Z, K3571-Z, 3770-Z, K3772-Z, K3805-Z, K3806-Z, K4510-Z, K3806,
K5006-Z. The other devices cannot handle the PUK.
The following devices support a PIN2 / PUK2 remaining attempt counter: Vodafone
K3770-Z, K3772-Z, K3805-Z, K3806-Z, K4510-Z, K3806.
Huawei Devices:
K4305: devices with profile handling cannot use the reset settings feature in the
diagnostics view.
The following devices do not support Prepay balance check, Voucher TopUp, or Own
number retrieval, because they do not support USSD:
K4505
K4605.
ZTE Devices:
Using several different Vodafone devices manufactured by ZTE (eg. K3565-Z and
K3765-Z) on the same Mac may cause a SIM not detected error message to be shown.
Workaround: restart your Mac when the message is shown, or before switching devices.
The following devices can prevent your Mac from going into Standby when they are
connected to the internet: K3565-Z, K3765-Z, K4505-Z.
