b. To evaluate a given set of numbers to make a bar graph
c. To count boxes to represent a bar graph
B. Make-Meaning/Affective
1. Interpersonal/ Intrapersonal/ Red Hat
a. To work cooperatively during class activities.
b. To confidently identify the bar graph to a given set of numbers
2. Spiritual/ Yellow Hat
a. To give thanks to God for giving us set of numbers to count.
C. Transfer/Psychomotor
1. Bodily-Kinesthetic
a. To construct a bar graph from a given set of numbers using lego bricks.
2. Musical
a. To sing and interpret action songs lively
3. Visual-Spatial
a. To discriminate a bar graph from a set of numbers to another bar graph

II.

Learning Content: Stage 2

A. Essential Question/s:
What is a bar graph?
Is the bar graph the same with the number of objects it represent?
B. Enduring Understanding:
A bar graph shows a number and quantity of objects. It has a proportional quantity
with the number it represent.
C. Topic/Knowledge:
Bar Graph
D. Skills:
Describing skill
Oral language skill
Audio-visual discrimination
E. Values:
Appreciation
Cooperation
F. Materials:
pictures
concrete objects
charts
G. References:
H. Other Evidences:
Seatwork
Workbook Activity

III. Learning Experiences: Stage 3

A. Motivation
Sing a lively action song.
Look At Me
Look at me (2x)
Im a bar graph
I graph (4x)
Just like a bar graph
B. Presentation / Discussion

1. Show a picture of a set of butterflies.

2. Ask them to identify the objects in the pictures and let them count the objects.
3. Show a chart the word BAR GRAPH below.

BAR GRAPH
4. Ask: Is the set of butterflies from the picture the same with the colored boxes?
5. Have them read the word below the chart after the teacher.
6. Discuss the meaning of bar graph and show more examples to explain further the
lesson.
7. Say a little prayer thanking God for giving us numbers to count.
Jesus , Thank you
For giving us numbers
To count
Amen.
C. Application: Group Activity
Building A Bar Graph
Directions: Using the lego bricks, make a tower to represent a bar graph from the given
picture of the teacher. Use the same color of the bricks to represent the number of the
objects in the picture. The first group to perform the task will receive 3 stars; other
groups will be given 1 star.
D. Generalization
A bar graph is a chart with bars whose lengths are proportional to quantities or
the set of objects it represents.
IV. Learning Evaluation
A. Seat Work:
Match column A with column B.
Column A

Column B

1. Five (5)

2. Four (4)

3. Two (2)

4. Three (3)

II.

Learning Content: Stage 2

A. Essential Question/s:
How do we make a bar graph?
What does a bar graph represent?
B. Enduring Understanding:
We make a bar graph by coloring the appropriate boxes with the same number of
the object. The bar graph represents the equivalent quantity of the numeral or
number of objects.
