What
Good
Souls

By Jessica Howard

Soul Food Volunteers (L-R) Jenny, Phyllis, Kath, Pat, Helen, Sister May, Jan and Des. Photo Helen Tatchell

If you like hot food and conversation, the Soul Food

Community is for you.
The not-for-profit, non-religious program offers a free twocourse meal every Wednesday at the Bacchus Marsh Uniting
Church Hall.
Long-term coordinator, Jenny Kearney said the program
had no prerequisites and was open to the whole community.
Everybody is welcome, whether it is someone who
occasionally struggles to put a meal on the table or someone
who just wants some good company and hot, nutritious food
they are more than welcome, she said.
Meals can include anything from a roast to pasta, and is
generally followed by fruit, cake and tea and coffee.
We try to make sure people are getting a really good,
healthy meal so we put as much fruit and veg as we can on
the table, Jenny said.
Foodworks Bacchus Marsh donates the bulk of the food,
and the rest we source from various places or are donated
from different groups of people.
With up to 50 people attending the Soul Food Community
each week at 12pm, Jenny says the program continues to be
a great success.
Its just a great way for people to be able to get a hot,
nutritious meal in a really friendly, community atmosphere,
she said.
The environment is completely non-judgemental and we
work really hard to give it a real community feel for everyone
to enjoy. I think all of us have needed a little bit of help at
some point or another and this is just my opportunity to give
a little back to the community.
Jenny said whilst the program had 12 regular volunteers,
they were always looking for more people to help out.
Some people come in every week, some just once a fortnight
or once a month its really just when it suits them. However
we are always looking, she said.
We only have two cooks at the moment which is a bit of a
challenge, so we would love to have more people jump on
board.
The Soul Food Community meets every Wednesday (except
during school holidays) from 12pm 1 pm at the Uniting
Church Hall, Gisborne Road, Bacchus Marsh.
For more information, or to volunteer contact Jenny on

Teachers take
centre stage
By Jessica Howard

(L-R) PAHQ teachers Mai Pyin and Maria Hontalas prepare for the Teachers
Spectacular. Photo PAHQ

Students of the Bacchus Marsh

Performing Arts Headquarters will
take their seats this Friday as members of staff take part in a teacher
spectacular.
A performance for the whole family,
teachers of music dance and drama
will star in an onstage ensemble titled favourites.
Voice, woodwinds and dance teacher, Mai Pyin said 15 teachers from
the Performing Arts Headquarters
had each prepared a favourite piece
of their choice to perform in front of
the students and their family and
friends.
We do it as a way to give students
some inspiration to achieve, she
said.
I think it allows people to realise
that with practise they can follow
their passion in whatever they want
to achieve in the future, and even if
they follow a different road of employment they can continue their
passion on the side.
Ms Pyin said the performance
would provide an array of demonstrations ranging from drum solos to
dance pieces.
There will be a lot of different
things on show including some lovely tap and ballet pieces, a drum solo,
an electronic experimental piece
and our acting coach will be doing
a monologue just to name a few,
she said.
A lot of these people are professionals in the industry and so we are
really just showing Bacchus Marsh
what we have to offer.
The teachers spectacular will be
held this Friday, May 22 at 7pm at the
Impresario Theatre, 5 Grant Street
Bacchus Marsh.
Tickets are available at the door at
$8 for adults, $4 for concession and
all current PAHQ students free. For

Investigation
into local
funding
By Kate Taylor
Local government funding
will come under scrutiny
with a parliamentary inquiry launched last week.
A joint parliamentary committee will investigate a
range of matters relating to
local government funding
including the impact of the
State Government rate capping policy, council responsibilities for flood planning
and maintenance of flood
mitigation
infrastructure,
maintenance of local roads
and bridges, as well as weed
and pest control.
Moorabool Shire Councillors recently told The Moorabool News that if they could
change one thing about
the draft council budget, it
would be to lessen the burden of ratepayers having to
pay for local infrastructure.
Mayor Paul Tatchell also
came under fire recently
from local politicians for

calling on them to earn

their keep by bringing
more funding into the shire.
Member for Western Victoria Simon Ramsay welcomed
the inquiry, saying he raised
the matter of local government rating in the last Parliament and has often called for
a parliamentary inquiry.
I am delighted that there
was bipartisan support for
the motion to refer these
matters to the Environment,
Natural Resources and Regional Development Committee, he said.
Mr Ramsay said councils
are struggling with Labors
cuts to the highly acclaimed
Country Roads and Bridges
Program, the scrapping of
the $100 million fund to
support 40 rural councils
with $1 million per year, the
ceasing of the intermodal
freight initiative, and the axing of the $1 billion Regional
Growth Fund which sup-

ported the Putting Locals

First Program.
And now planning to
impose a cap on councils
ability to raise revenue, it is
timely we have a full investigation of the impact of Labors funding cuts and treatment of local government,
Mr Ramsay said.
Mr Ramsay, who is a member of the Environment,
Natural Resources and Regional Development Committee which will enquire
into local government matters, said that finally farmers
and landholders who believe
they are unfairly and inequitably paying an unfair burden of local government rate
revenue will at last have an
opportunity to put their case
to the powerful parliamentary committee and have their
voices heard.
The Committee will have
to report back to the Parliament by March 2016.

Process blunder
eventually granted

By Kate Taylor

Bacchus Marshs Acrofun gymnastics program

has received funding from
council under controversial
circumstances.
The program had applied
for a Summer Community
Grant from council and was
not successful however the
Wednesday 6 May council
meeting heard that a mistake had been made, that the
application had met all the
criteria and a motion was
passed to have the funding
granted.
$5000 was given in the
grant for Acrofun to purchase a large spring-loaded

floor mat.
However,
West
Ward
Councillor Tom Sullivan expressed concerns about the
process.
Ive got nothing against
the program, its the process
of the grant, he told the
meeting.
Cr Sullivan explained that
councillors were told that
there was a mix-up and
that the application should
have been granted but that
the information he had on
the business paper did not
contain all of the required
information.
The information I had before me didnt show the normal information that we get

how much the total project

is, how much the applicants
are going to put in, if it is
reliant on external funding;
thats not to say its not a
good application, but I think
it could have been held over
to the next round and been
assessed then rather than
this ad hoc fashion.
When you make decisions
on the run you leave yourself open to all sorts of issues
going forward. Two wrongs
dont make a right.
Acrofun
representatives
were presented with their
certificate at a special Community Summer Grants
evening on Monday 11 May.

Mary Hine and Gillian Loughman have the call out for more teams to join the 2015 Moorabool Relay for Life event in
September. Photo Helen Tatchell

The never-ending
relay for life

By Jessica Howard
Members of the Moorabool
Relay for Life committee
were left disheartened following the callous theft of a
sign in mid-February, however thanks to a community
grant a replacement is now
underway.
The 4 x 3-metre (approx.)
sign was wired onto the side
fence of a property in Grant
Street, Bacchus Marsh for
a number of years before it
was stolen earlier this year.
Moorabool Relay for Life
chairmanager,
Gillian
Loughman said she still
couldnt quite get her head

around the fact that it was

gone.
The advertisement was
a
year-round reminder
that the relay was on and it
was for a charity - you really dont expect someone to
steal that, she said.
It would have taken a
truck or a big trailer and
about four people to carry it
too, and what would they do
with it anyway? I really dont
know.
Following the theft, Ms
Loughman successfully applied for a Moorabool Shire
Council community grant,
which has covered the cost
of replacement.

The artwork is now being

prepared for approval by the
committee and it should be
back up in no time. Well just
have to make sure it is more
secure, even though we
thought the wiring would
be enough, Ms Loughman
said.
Its just a nice reminder to
the community that the relay is approaching this September, and we really need
more teams to register for
the event because we cant
have a relay without any
teams.
The 2015 Moorabool Relay
for Life so far has six registered teams, and for the first
time in Moorabool history -

more than 30 stalls.

There is a wide range
of stalls that have already
signed up, and in previous
years we had about 15 at
most, so we now have twice
as many, Ms Loughman
said.
So now we are just hoping
for more teams so that we
can raise a lot of money and
hopefully one day live in a
cancer free world.
The 2015 Moorabool Relay
for Life will be held on September 18 - 19 at Maddingley
Park, Bacchus Marsh. To register, visit http://www.relay

Moorabool.

exist, Mayor Paul Tatchell

said.
He said that council welcomes any partnerships between healthcare providers,
police, sporting and service
clubs and state and federal
Governments that work towards education and prevention and trying to stem
the ice epidemic.
Our community services
department and the Community Leadership Program
which is facilitated by Council, are already working
proactively with the State
Government, local police,
Djerriwarrh Health Services
and local service providers
on this issue, Mayor Tatchell said.
The Moorabool Community Leadership Program
and Bacchus Marsh police
are in the process of form-

ing a drug action group and

will host a drug awareness
forum on Thursday 28 May
titled A Way Forward.
The drug action group has
also set a meeting in June to
establish itself formally as a
group and feed into the Central Highlands Drug Action
Taskforce.
This is not something we
can ignore and we need to
do all we can to support
the Federal Governments
National Ice Action Strategy
and the State Governments
Ice Action Plan. We want
to assure the community
we know there is a problem
and we play a role in trying
to overcome the problem,
Mayor Tatchell said.
Council staff are meeting
with Snr. Const. Jim Ross
from Victoria Police (Moorabool District Youth Resource

Officer) this week to discuss applying for the State

Governments Ice Community Education grants up
to $10,000 grants announced
recently to provide for education opportunities and
initiatives to combat ice use
problems in communities
across Victoria.
Councils involvement in
this fight involves education,
research, referrals and advocacy and we will do what we
can to help those who need
it, no matter how they are
affected by this insidious
drug, Cr Tatchell said.
Anyone interested in attending the A Way Forward forum, or wanting
more information or to give
suggestions on topics they
want covered at the forum,

Drug culture does exist

Frontline workers at Moorabool Shire Council have seen

an increased prevalence of
ice use in the community.
Maternal and Child Health
nurses have been working
with families that are impacted by ice use, and some
Aged Service clients are caring for a grandchild whose
parent or parents have an ice
addiction.
The revelation comes as a
partnership between council, local health care providers, police and state and
federal government to tackle
the problem takes shape.
This is a very serious and
complex issue in our Shire
that needs to be dealt with in
the open not with a closed
mentality and pretending

Chance to
break into the
music world

By Jessica Howard

The restoration association

with deep roots in the Moorabool community, has joined
school students and borough
officials in a tree planting
ceremony held at Coimadai.
In preparation for the longawaited memorial park, the
Coimadai Avenue of Honour Restoration Association
hosted the ceremony on
Sunday, May 17, which saw
Coimadai Primary School
captains and Federal Member for Ballarat Catherine
King, plant seedlings from
the infamous Lone Pine and
Gallipoli Oaks trees.
Over 80 community members attended the ceremony,
including Moorabool Shire
Mayor Cr Paul Tatchell, fellow Crs. Comrie and Spain,
along with Bacchus Marsh
RSL president David Childs
and Senior Vice President
Ern Dexter.
Coimadai Avenue of Honour Restoration Association
chairman, Ken McDonald
led the community with a
brief history of the importance of the two trees.
The term Lone Pine was
given to a tree at Plateau 400
at Gallipoli. All of the trees
covering the ridges were cut
to line and cover trenches
and only one tree was left
standing, he said.
The Lone Pine has been
grown from several pine-

We are very passionate

about this project and despite the fact that it is 100

Mr Millington said the competition would hopefully be
the first step towards an upand-coming artist building a
career.

Parish party
celebrates 140 years

By Jessica Howard

A world
of change

By Kate Taylor
Moving from Singapore
to Ballan is an extreme
tree-change.
But for John Fabre, the big
move has worked out well.
Originally from North
Melbourne, Mr Fabre spent
six years living in Singapore with his wife Leone
before deciding to return to
Australia.
It was time to come back
home; we thought one of the
things we really needed was
getting back to being in Australia again and speaking
English, Mr Fabre said.
But the couple had to decide between returning to
the city - or moving to the
country.
We wanted to be part of
a community - wed never
lived in country Victoria so
we thought lets move into
Ballan.
The couple loves the proximity to Melbourne, Geelong, Daylesford and Ballarat, and the opportunities
to buy a comfortably sized
house and even start a new
business.
Next on the list was getting
to know their new community and pursuing a passion

for volunteering.
Were Catholic, we went
to church and we met other
people and discovered how
friendly they are.
We discovered the Ballan
Chamber of Commerce and
the way they operate here
is very informal, its over a
meal every month, and you
get the chance to meet other
people and connect. Its a
great way of meeting people,
and a great way of contributing to the community. For
us its helped us integrate
very well into the town and
I think its a wonderful way
to be involved.
Working as Chair of the Ballan Farmers Market Committee has been a highlight
for Mr Fabre.
Theres something for everyone to do there, you can do
the physical aspect of helping the traders loading and
unloading, you can meet
and greet if youre good at
that, you can go around doing safety checks if thats
what you can do. The market
draws people into Ballan
but also the district, if youre
at the market then why not
stop at the butcher to buy
some of the sausages you
had off the market barbecue,

go next door to the cafe, head

to Gordon and stop in at the
hat shop or the cafe.
Its really lovely to see how
people can bring new inspiration into the town.
Now, along with helping other small businesses
through the Chamber of
Commerce, Mr Fabre and his
wife have started their own
successful small business in
Ballan called Fabre.
We focus on growing small
to mid-size businesses, from
Melton to Ballarat and from
Geelong to Daylesford.
In particular we have an
emphasis we place on social
media - we are helping a
couple of small businesses at
the moment be a part of the
community because advertising gives you presence,
but conversation is what
social media provides and
thats what works in regional
Victoria.
We very much want to help
businesses grow - from the
way they are written about,
their
customer
service,
where they are in the market
place; we very much take the
view that all of these are the
tools and approaches to be
more successful - and fun in
the process.

A masterplan will be designed to detail councils

intended use of the land,
which provides a buffer
between industrial and residential areas and is expected
to be retained as a non-commercial site.
The sale was announced at
the May council meeting,
following the conclusion
of confidential discussions
with the vendor.
This purchase has been
made on terms, said Council CEO Rob Croxford.

In the interim we will

prepare a masterplan for
the site that will most likely
commence in the 2016/17
financial year - after we
have completed the Urban
Growth Strategy, Moorabool
2041 and other localised
strategic work that council is
currently progressing.
A masterplan will provide
the finer grain detail of what
may be possible on this well
located piece of land.

Council buys land

By Kate Taylor
Moorabool Shire Council
has purchased Siberias next
door neighbour.
The parcel of vacant land
on Tavener Street, adjoining
a part of Maddingley Park
known locally as Siberia,
has been purchased by council for an undisclosed sum
subject to confidentiality.
It is 2.65 ha on the south
west corner of Tavener and
Fisken Streets, Maddingley.

The Gordon Catholic Parish

may have sold over 500 tickets to their original opening
in 1875, but 140 years later,
people gathered for free.
Close to 250 community
members congregated in
the bluestone church on
Sunday (May 3), where they
enjoyed a celebration of 140
years since the commissioning of the original Catholic
Church.
Opened in May 1875 by
Archbishop
Goold,
the
parish includes churches
and primary schools from
Ballan, Springbank and
Gordon.
Situated on a hill and renowned for its imposing
views over the surrounding
land, the bluestone building
was renovated in 1901, and
again 20-years later.
However the second alterations saw the loss of the original opening stone, which
extensive searches never
relocated.
Coordinator and Moderator
of the Parish, Sue Daly said
to right this renovation mishap, the local community
unveiled a new commemorative stone which was affixed
to the front of the church.
One hundred and forty
years is a significant milestone in any community, so
its well worth us coming
together to remember, give
thanks and celebrate the
strength and character of
our early settlers who laid
the foundation for our wonderful faith community.

We are a community led

Parish, we rely on visiting
clergy for services, but the
administration of the Parish
and its future direction is
led by the local people with
the support of Father Ed, our
supervising priest, Ms Daly
said.

The commemorative plaque

was unveiled in the grounds
of the church following a
mass celebrated by Bishop
Paul Bird and hymns led
by the combined choir of
St Patricks School, Gordon
and St Michaels School,
Springbank.

Edwards passes on
peri urban baton
By Kate Taylor
As the new Peri-urban
representative, East Ward
Councillor John Spain is all
for the Agriculture Working
Group.
Cr Spain took over from Cr
Edwards as Moorabool Shire
Councils representative on
the Peri-Urban Group of
Rural Councils at the Annual Statutory and Appointments meeting at the end of
last year, mentioning its latest news in his councillors
report at the April council
meeting.
Cr Edwards had put in two
very hard-working, timeconsuming and successful
years as the Chair of the
PUGRC. He handed over the
Chairpersonship of PUGRC
to Cr Murray Cook of Baw
Baw Shire in February this
year, Cr Spain explained.
He said that the PUGRC
recognises a number of issues and opportunities
specific to rural landowners

- ratepayers - in mixed rural

and urban shires such as
Moorabool, hence the establishment of the Agriculture
Working Group to work on
those issues and opportunities and develop strategies
and policies.
These issues include strong
pressure on rural land values from urban encroachment and hence pressure on
the rural landowners share
of the rate burden, perceived
lack of understanding of the
value of agriculture to the local economy and opportunities for agricultural tourism
- farm stays, farm gate sales,
etc.
Also the importance of
rural land as a separator of
settlements and maintaining
the rural character amenity
of an area, insufficient weed
control enforcement when
some landowners without a
farming background dont
match the efforts of their
neighbours in controlling
gorse, blackberry, Pattersons
Curse, serrated tussock, etc,

and many others.

Cr Spain said that sharing
experiences with other periurban Councils provides opportunities to develop better
local strategies and policies.
Having a united PUGRC
voice about such issues
should get better outcomes
from the State Government
for all the peri-urban Shires.
Cr Spain said that Moorabool Shire Council has been
ahead of the game with
groups such as the Rural
Advisory Committee, which
is currently in abeyance.
Thats probably the best
type of forum to gather local knowledge and opinions
about the issues and opportunities. Then the Rural Advisory Committee proceedings can be shared with the
Agriculture Working Group
of PUGRC - thats part of my
job as MSCs PUGRC rep.
Information flows both ways
so our Rural Advisory Committee can also receive information from the PUGRC.

Tanks for the keys!

By Jessica Howard

By Kate Taylor

For the first time in over two

decades, the Millbrook Fire Brigade has received the keys to a
new tanker.
MP Geoff Howard handed the
keys over to Millbrook Fire Brigade captain, Luke Reynolds on
Sunday, May 3 at the Millbrook
Community Centre.
Mr Reynolds said the upgrade
provided by the State Government was important to the community, as it was the first new
tanker the Brigade had received
since 1991.
Receiving a brand new tanker
makes our life a whole lot easier, its a twin cab tanker so there
is also more crew protection,
he said.
We are now up to speed with
surrounding Brigades and can
perform our work even more
effectively.
Mr Reynolds said the old
tanker was sent to another fire
brigade located in the Western
District. He gave thanks to the
State government and to Operations Officer, Archie Conroy for
supporting the brigades activities and identifying their need
to better serve the community.

Moorabool Shire Council is

staying out of a campaign
against new rate capping
measures being brought in
next year.
The Australian Services Union is calling on local councils to write a letter to the
state government against the
policy, set to take effect in the
2016-17 financial year, saying it will threaten local jobs,
services and economies.
Embarrassingly, a map provided by the Essential Services Commission regarding rates capping had left
Moorabool off.
Theres a big blank space
on the map between the
outer-metropolitan
councils and Ballarat where we
should be but maybe they
dont know where we are?
Cr Spain joked.
Cr Spain responded to calls
by the state opposition to
fight the rates capping policy which means councils
cannot raise rates annually
above the CPI without justifying the rise to the Essential
Services Commission.
Personally I dont see it as
a fight basically, its state

government policy, and depending on how its implemented there could be some
problems.
Cr Spain recently attended
a forum which included
hearing from a panel featuring the Essential Services
Commissioner.
He said that in his personal
view, rates capping is not
as bad as some people make
out.
If we justify it, then whats
the problem going to be?
Everyone knows the CPI is
a silly measure, but because
everyone knows that it gives
us room to negotiate around
the edges.
Moorabool Shire Council
Mayor Paul Tatchell has been
vocal in his opposition to
rate capping, saying that the
policy has failed every other
time it has been attempted.
However council CEO Rob
Croxford is staying out of it.
We do not want to be
drawn into the politics of the
serious rate capping issue.
We are working on our current budget and long-term financial plan to best cater for
the uncertain times ahead,
he said.

Youtube can be a gamer

By Jessica Howard
Bacchus Marsh may be home to
one of the next biggest Youtube
sensations.
Brayden Pope created an online
Youtube channel titled Popeyjn in
2011, and has since received around
2 million views from audiences as
far as England and America.
The 17-year-old said the channel
was initially designed to upload
little videos that made him and his
friends laugh.
That was as far as I planned for

the channel to go, he said.

I was then watching people that
made me laugh, [such as] PewDiePie, Tobygames, Markiplier and
Jacksepticeye. I looked at what
they were doing and realised that
I could do that. I am a huge gam-

WHATS ON

ing fanatic and this seemed like the

perfect fit.
Brayden began creating and
uploading his own gaming videos, where he played a game and
shared his thoughts online, and
soon enough had received over
2,000 subscribers.
The interaction between the audiences is wonderful, he said.
I dont usually get comments,
but I get emails. Everyday I have
around 100 emails from people
saying something about my video
and giving feedback.

Brayden said although he tries to

answer as many emails as he can,
it was hard to find the time in his
busy schedule.
It takes a long time to film, edit
and perfect one video. On top of
that I have school and a job in the
real world. Its a full schedule, but I
wouldnt change it for anything in
the world.
Brayden receives revenue from
promoting games online and
is also in a contract with an online company, however all the
money goes straight back into the

channel for better equipment and

video quality.
I have rarely used the money that
I make from YouTube on myself
because I owe it to the audience to
keep getting better and better, he
said.
Brayden hopes his channel can
continue to grow, and said if he
ever hit 10,000 subscribers he
would love to do charity livestreams in order to raise money for
different charities.
Popeyjn can be found at https://

Court in action HALLETTS WAY

By Jessica Howard
A Bacchus Marsh woman
who used a stolen concession card to save a mere
three dollars has walked
away without conviction.
Pauline Picking pleaded
guilty to one count of theft
and one count of obtaining
property by deception in the
Bacchus Marsh Magistrates
Court on Friday (May 15).
Police prosecutor, Senior Constable Wilson said
the accused had allegedly
stolen the concession card
along with two myki cards,
a Crown Signature club card
and a Chinese passport from
a handbag found at Southern Cross Station on November 22, 2014.
Moments later, the accused
purchased a concession
myki card using the stolen concession card, which
equalled a total of threedollars as opposed to the sixdollar full fare fee, the court
heard.
On November 29 2014,
Picking was travelling between Southern Cross Station and Bacchus Marsh
on a Vline train when an
inspector approached her to
check her ticket. Suspecting
the concession card did not
belong to her, the inspector
rang a protected services officer at Melton who searched

the womans belongings and

found the stolen items.
Pickings solicitor stated
that the accused had moved
to Australia from China in
2003, and as she was not entitled to any income support
was having great financial
difficulties.
Magistrate Cynthia Toose
said whilst the matter was
very serious, she had been
persuaded by Pickings solicitor to place the accused on a
12-month adjourned undertaking without conviction.
You had every opportunity to hand in that property to
the police, I dont know what
you planned to do with that
passport and I dont want
to know. However I note that
you have no known priors
and the valued advantage
was only $3, she said.
Picking was ordered to an
adjourned undertaking until
May 13, 2016.
****
Meanwhile, a 33-year-old
mother was fined $1000 after
quantities of methamphetamine and cannabis were
found in her Bacchus Marsh
home.
On January 31 2015, a search
warrant executed by Bacchus
Marsh police claimed 2.89
grams of ice and 76 grams of
cannabis from the womans

home, the court heard.

Upon arrest, the accused,
Kristie Libbis made full
omissions, stating that it was
for personal use only.
I am addicted to the drugs.
I was going to separate them
for my own use, she was
quoted in court.
The womans solicitor stated
that a man seven years older
than her had introduced
her to drugs at the age of 16,
however after many years of
using she had finally chosen to seek help through a a
drug and alcohol councillor.
Magistrate Toose said she
was very strict on drug related issues, stating that this
would be the womans absolute last chance.
Ice is the surge of our society and there is an epidemic
of violence and burglaries
because of this. It makes
criminals out of once innocent people and I just wont
stand for it, she said.
You have been given your
last chance. If you come back
before me you can realistically expect a long term of
imprisonment.
The woman received a $1000
with conviction fine and an
18-month community corrections order, which would
include 100- hours of unpaid
community work, and drug
treatment and rehabilitation.

Letters to the Editor

Dear Editor,
The message from the letter (MN 28/4/15) written by
Ms Rose De la Cruz re wind
farms in the Moorabool
Shire seemed to suggest that
the economic rewards from
such a project is the only important benefit for the area.
I applaud John Kowarskys
letter (MN 5/5/15) as he
has discussed the project
from every possible angle
in a fair and reasonable
way with consideration and
sensible suggestions for all
stakeholders.
Ms De la Cruz says there is
evidence that the majority of
ratepayers in the area are in
favour of clean, renewable
energy and would benefit
from wind farms. I agree
with her about the clean
renewable energy but I am
100% sure that if all those in
favour, as I am of renewable
energy, were aware of the
downside of forcing people
to live in close proximity to
huge turbines, they would
be more sympathetic or even
empathetic to their plight.
There is a solution and it is in
the hands of the CEO of the
Moorabool Wind Farm Pty
Ltd. Listen to the potentially
affected non host neigh-

bours of your project and

do not build the turbines so
close to peoples dwellings.

Dear Editor,
As President of the Bacchus

thank all of our members
who volunteered their time
selling ANZAC Tokens.
Also, to the people of Bacchus Marsh and District
thank you for your generosity. Your wonderful effort
resulted in a record amount
of monies being raised. The
monies raised will be used

their dependents in need.

Dear Editor,
Six times more Victorians
are dying as a result of high
salt intake than on our roads.
Each year in Victoria, we
consume more than 15,000
tonnes of salt nearly double
the upper limit thats recommended. But by reducing the
amount of salt we consume
by 30 per cent, wed save 800
lives each year and $50 million in healthcare costs.
Salt increases the risk of
high blood pressure, affecting one in four Victorians
and accounting for half of
all strokes, heart disease
and chronic kidney disease
deaths. With 75 per cent of
salt in the Australian diet
coming from processed
foods like pizza, bread and
ready-made sauces, its easy
to see how Victorians are
eating more salt than they
realise or need.
Thats why VicHealth is
launching The State of Salt:
The Case for Salt Reduction
in Victoria as part of Australias commitment to a 30 per
cent reduction in salt intake
by 2025. We will work with
governments, health groups,
the food industry and the

Ready to dig

By Kate Taylor
Moorabool Shire Council is
not only saying that planned
works on Halletts Way are
shovel-ready but is calling
on the state and federal governments to listen.
Last week, Prime Minister
Tony Abbott announced
$35 million for a fund that
will favour local projects
deemed to be of greatest
long-term benefit for those
communities.
Premier Daniel Andrews, in
his State Budget, announced
more than $600-million to
upgrade congested roads
Victorians use to get around
their own communities.
Prime Minister Abbott,
Premier Andrews: we have a
project shovel-ready - a project that is imperative for the
future of Bacchus Marsh!
Mr Croxford said both the
federal and state governments have acknowledged
themselves how important
the road improvements are
just over a year ago, the
previous state government
and VicRoads announced
$38 million in funding for
works to ease traffic congestion, improve safety and reduce travel times in Bacchus
Marsh.

And both the federal and

state governments have
given money for parts of the
works at the West Maddingley end of the western route.
They know, as well as the
19,000 residents that make
up Bacchus Marsh, that the
road network is not close to
adequate for the present, let
alone for the future growth
of one of the states fastest
growing regions, Mr Croxford said.
The State Government
needs to fund the $12.5 million east facing ramps and
pedestrian bridge at Halletts
Way and both the federal
and state governments need
to ensure all the package of
works (including upgrading Woolpack Rd south,
upgrade of Hopetoun Park
Rd and upgrade of the off-

ramp at Bacchus Marsh Rd

exit) is completed for our
community.
He said that if the project is
not done properly, then traffic problems in the town are
going to get a lot worse.
The Bacchus Marsh package of works is absolutely vital to the town, and we have
the designs and concepts for
a fully-linked road network
but the lack of funding for
the Halletts Way ramps is
impeding our vision, Mr
Croxford said.
Council has had the designs done, we are ready to
go on the project but we
have the other two levels of
government pointing the
finger at each other about
who has the money to get it
done.

I read with dismay the story

The Great Victorian Coding Challenge

Students and teachers alike are
encouraged to take part in The Great
Victorian Coding Challenge in the leadup to Education Week this year and go
in the draw to win a full-day excursion
to specialist maths and science centre
Quantum Victoria for their class.
The state-wide challenge is a chance
for students to learn how to code or
to extend their coding skills using the
simple coding software Scratch, which is
already installed on every governmentschool computer in Victoria.
Teachers have the chance to learn
too, by attending a short webinar that
explains the basics and offers clear
guidance on how to lead children
through the building blocks of coding. All
teachers who attend an online webinar
will receive a Certificate of Professional
Development.
The challenge closes on Friday 15 May
2015. Winners will be announced during
Education Week (Sunday 17 May to
Saturday 23 May 2015).

How to get started

Teachers are encouraged to
register their class before starting
the challenge. All classes registered
will automatically go in the draw to
win a full-day excursion to specialist
maths and science centre Quantum
Victoria, where students can take
part in specialised maths and
coding activities.

Who can
participate?
The Great Victorian Coding
Challenge is open to students in
Victorian primary and secondary
schools, although the challenge
is best suited to primary school
children in Year 2 and above.
To register for The Great Victorian
Coding Challenge, see: www.
education.vic.gov.au

What does the

challenge involve?
The Great Victorian Coding
Challenge offers students the
chance to learn how to code or to
build on their existing coding skills
using the simple coding program
Scratch. The Scratch software
is installed on every government
school computer in the state as part
of the eduStar suite, so no matter
where you live or which school you
teach at you and your students
will have free and easy access.
Scratch is also available as online
software, or is free to download,
so that students can work on their
challenge at home.
There are, in fact, three different
challenges within The Great
Victorian Coding Challenge, each
one pitched roughly at a different
age and skill level. Students can
attempt one, some or all of these
challenges.

Tales and stories of Coimadai

By Jessica Howard
A Coimadai couple and their 12 children
who lived in a bark hut on the banks of
Pyrites Creek is just one of the stories told in
the newly published book, Coimadai 129.
William Bennet and Jane Robbershaw
purchased The Foresters Arms Hotel
(pictured) in the 1860s, which housed not
only their 12 children, but also a bakery and
a butchers shop.
The story of Bennet and Robbershaw
accompanies a number of other wellresearched tales on the stories of 129 war
enlistees with connections to the Coimadai,
Toolern, Vale, Merrimu, Djerriwarrh and
Bullengarook areas.
The book, compiled by Margaret Love,
Bernice Clarke and Beryl Ham, contains
information on the First World War including
family information, photographs and war
records.
The stories, which entailed thousands
of hours of research, discovered many

interesting family stories and some

unanswered questions such as what the
thoughts were of the young man who learned
two days prior to war camp that the girl he
knew as his sister was really his mother.
Coimadai Avenue of Honour Restoration
Association Chairman, Ken McDonald said
the information was an excellent resource
for students studying WWI, particularly the
contribution made by young Australians.
With the permission of his descendants,
the articles written by Anders Hjorth in 1916
have been included as an appendix, he said.
These articles contain valuable information
on the history of Coimadai and surrounds

Protecting the environment not just about planting a tree

As you are no doubt aware
the environment movement,
and an ever growing number of regional communities, are mounting a strong
defence against the dig it up
and ship it out worldview
of this federal government
and its financial supporters.
This government does not
like that they are starting to
lose in this struggle between
the community and big
business. So now the federal
government is beginning yet
another attack on the environment movement.
This is a co-ordinated attack, and is based on the
long running campaign
by the Institute of Public
Affairs (the IPA). The IPA
has long lobbied for green
groups to have their tax
status revoked. Hence the
prime minister has threatened environmental groups
with a review of tax deductibility for groups listed on

the Ministers Register and

the recently released Re:
Think, Better Tax System
Better Australia discussion
paper calls for a review of
the Not for Profit sectors tax
deductibility. This federal
government has already cut
funding to the Environment
Defenders Office (EDO) and
axed the Grants to Voluntary
Environment, Sustainability
and Heritage Organisations
program to 150 groups in the
2014 budget.
This program had bipartisan support since it was set
up in the 1970s.
Then just recently the Abbott government launched
an attack on Friends of the
Earth Australia and other
environment groups on the
ABCs 7.30 Report. It was
made very clear that the Abbott government wants to
take Friends of the Earths
tax status away. Like other

environmental
organisations, the vast majority of
Friends of the Earths income
(donations from members
and grants from foundations) are tax deductible. If
they cut this charitable tax
status, they take 95% of their
income.
Coalition Senator Matthew
Canavan made it clear on the
7.30 Report that theyre out
to get all advocacy groups.
He said, Weve got about 100
or 150 organisations that are
engaged in activity which
seem to have their purpose
at stopping industrial development. Not just mining.
Some of those developments
include tourism developments or agricultural developments. But engaging in
what I would view as the
political debate, not the environmental debate. As Cam
Walker (Friends of the Earth
Australia) so rightly pointed,
protecting the environment

isnt just a case of planting

some trees somewhere
in the current context, its
political activity that brings
about change.
It must be said that we in
Australia stand in a long tradition of community action
and advocacy. Much of what
we treasure about Australian society has come about
because of the efforts of civil
society groups like trade
unions, Indigenous groups,
and environmental organisations. Surely the current
attack on environmental
groups is part of a much
larger struggle being waged
by the conservative forces in
Canberra.
Without a sustained campaign of civil disobedience,
women would not have
the vote. More recently, the
Franklin River would have
been dammed, the Jabiluka
uranium mine built, and gas

drillers would be fracking in

Victoria and Tasmania.
In case you think these
environmental groups do
not deserve this tax deductibility here are some groups
on who are on the list for tax
deductibility: Footy4all Limited, Canberra Surf and Lake
Club (did I read Canberra
surf correctly), The Trustee
for The Forestry Industries
Community, Irish Karma
Incorporated, International
Order of Old Bastards (AU
Chapter) Inc., Barossa Enterprises Inc., and the list
goes on and on and on and
religious groups make up a
substantial presence while
environment groups are in
very limited numbers.
A final word on the Institute
of Public Affairs. Recently
it was revealed that Bob
Carter, an adjunct research
professor at James Cook
University and with a long-

standing record of denying

climate science and who is
on the payroll of the Heartland Institute, to the tune of
$1,667 per month for unspecified work, is also a fellow at
the Institute of Public Affairs
(IPA). The Heartland Institute is an American think
tank funded by wealthy individuals who actively promote the campaign to attack
the credibility of the worlds
top climate scientists and
create the impression that
there is a controversy about
the main propositions of
global warming science.
The Institute of Public Affairs Incorporated is on the
tax deductibility list.
What is your opinion?

for regional Victoria as a

showing a 6.4 per cent increase in the median house
price for the 12 months to
the end of March, Victorias
property market is as varied
as our state itself.

Set on an approx. 70 acres of the rich volcanic soil that

Mt. Blackwood offers is this large family home with space,
character and history for everyone to enjoy. Featuring
3 bedrooms, master with WIR, multiple living areas, 2
bathrooms and a double garage with direct access to the
home. The original weatherboard cottage dates back to the
1800s and has been tastefully restored in the past without
compromising the character of the building. The cottage
is attached to the 2 storey, double brick home and contains
beautiful floorboards which were milled on the property,
ensuite/ bathroom off the decking, a modern kitchen,
combustion heater and a generous size bedroom. It would
make an ideal B&B, guest house, teenage retreat or living
quarters. The double storey part of the property contains
a large sun room, huge deck, open fireplace, under house
storage, downstairs entertaining room or extra bedroom,
spacious kitchen with timber cupboards and Bosch/Scholtes
electric appliances.
Externally, there is a laundry hut or storage room, an old
milking shed, a concreted shearing shed and space in the
front and back yard for gardening and for the kids to play.
The rear paddocks are cleared and are perfect for grazing
cattle as the rich soil provides fantastic pastures and the 3
dams provide ample water. As you take the track up higher
on to Mt. Blackwood, you are greeted with breathtaking
views. You can see as far as Mt. Macedon, the You Yangs,
over the majority of the Lerderderg State Forest across to the
Melbourne sky line & Port Phillip Bay. There is an existing
house site cut in this location with power nearby, giving you
the option to build your dream home (STCA) whilst living in
the existing home.
The property is connected to approx. 60,000 litres of tank
water and has a 2.2kw solar system feeding power back to
the grid at a high rate of $0.66! This property has been in the
same family for over 50 years so opportunities such as this are
very rare. Just a 15 minute drive to Bacchus Marsh, centrally
located to Ballarat and Geelong, 45 mins to Western Ring
Road and sitting on the fringe of a State Park full of walking
and horse riding tracks, this property offers proximity to
amenities in an idyllic rural setting with unparalleled vistas.

The latest data shows substantial variation in the

growth in house prices
between regions and even
between towns within those
regions.

www.prdballarat.com.au

Yarrawonga, where the

March median house price
was $334,250, had the highest annual growth in regional Victoria for the year to the
end of March with 28.6 per
cent. At three hours drive
to Melbourne it could not be
considered commuting distance, but as a local real estate agency points out on its
website, it offers a one hour
drive to Albury airport, the
wineries are just 20 minutes
away and the snowfields two
hours.

Factors such as transport

links, in particular commuting distance to Melbourne,
the availability of good
schools, shopping and other
infrastructure can play a big
part. So the top growth areas
in the 12 months to the end
of March unsurprisingly

Lifestyle, too, is a factor.

Many people, including
those with young families,
are embracing the advantages of green space, fresh
air and friendly regional and
rural communities, along
with more affordable house
prices.

Factors such as local job opportunities, the closure of a

major industry or the commencement of a new, jobcreating project, the building of infrastructure such
as a new railway station or
the introduction of speedier
transport links can all have
a bearing on local property
prices. In some cases substantial growth in prices
can reflect recovery from
a period of downturn, or
what appears to be a drop in
prices can be stabilising after
a period of growth.

CANCERJune 22-July 22
You receive more than you give in the finance department, while reverse holds true in romance. You could be
subject to minor upsets. Take care of your health and
begin some form of exercise.
LEOJuly 23-August 22
You are in the mood to clean up and clear out everything
in sight, but there could be real treasures among your
collectables. If travelling on the weekend, you could make
a great friendship along the way.
VIRGOAugust 23-September 22
One of your biggest financial burdens may be shared at
last - and you can spend some money on yourself. Its a
week of achievement in general. This is the time to draft
personal goals.
LIBRASeptember 23-October 22
Romance is favoured, so long as you opt for the light
touch. You could be inspired to take on a few zany
projects and at least one brings dividends. Dont take
sides in a feud.

NUMBER GAME

Starting this weekend, just when your romantic partner

announces exciting plans, you find yourself tied to work.
It seems that stalled plans are very much back in motion

ANSWER BELOW

SAGITTARIUSNovember 22-December 22
You are more energetic at the work place and you are
coming closer to achieving a major goal or winning key
appointments. Friends may be testing you on the weekend. Pets are in the picture on the weekend.
CAPRICORNDecember 23-January 20
Your family proves reliable and bolsters your spirits.
Meetings after the weekend allow you to show off your
verbal gifts. Emails or letters may get lost, so keep a
watch out.
AQUARIUSJanuary 21-February 19
A lucky streak will extend until Sunday. You charm your
way out of some touchy situations this week. A cancellation on the weekend is compensated by bright news on
Monday. Dont let this week be all work.
PISCESFebruary 20-March 20
You grow more resourceful and self-reliant, becoming
so independent that certain people dont take you seriously. Their loss! You are shrewed and practical and
financially quite successful now.
BIRTHDAY THIS WEEK
You enjoy a good argument, a good challenge and a good
adventure, sometimes too much. But there is no limit on
your enjoyment of good people and good friends.
Sometimes you are a little too casual and a little too
absorbed in your own enthusiasms but you are always
well meaning and always prepared to forgive and forget.

FROM

$180,500*

JOIN AN EXCLUSIVE CLUB

Stonehill is fast becoming a sought-after residential address. And The Greens release
presents a limited opportunity to secure a block in one of its most prestigious pockets.
Located opposite the Bacchus Marsh West Golf Club, The Greens is limited to only
thirteen blocks, making them almost as rare as a hole-in-one.
And their generous proportions from 480 to 680m2 will only increase their popularity.
Meanwhile a planned $20 million shopping centre at Stonehill will feature a major
supermarket and specialty shops.
This extra local amenity will add even more modern convenience to complement
the communitys close-knit country spirit.

Dont miss your shot at The Greens.

Your computer uses Random Access Memory (RAM) to

hold program code and process instructions that you
give your software when computing. When you turn your
computer off, RAM loses the data that was used during
the computing session. When you restart your computer
the data from the operating system and the programs
you start is once again loaded into the computers RAM.

as either dynamic DRAM or static SDRAM.)

The lady Cobras travelled

to Jacana Reserve to take
on Jacana with a few key
players missing from their
line up. In sunny but windy
conditions, and with the aid
of the breeze, Jacana opened
up the first quarter with
five goals. The lady Cobras
failed to trouble the scoreboard against the breeze. In
the second term things were
looking better with the Cobras kicking two goals three
behinds to one goal one behind from the opposition.
The last half saw Jacana kick
a further eight goals to seal
the match. Bacchus Marsh
could only manage another
two goals but they kept
fighting until the final siren.

results were not good in the netball where each of

As this weekend is a bye due to the interleague
games, each of our clubs have an opportunity to
have a rest after a long pre-season and regroup
prior to Round 6. Good luck to all Cobras that have
been selected to play in the interleague games.

Sponsor of the Week is Lucky 7

Scott Bailey, with little capital and mostly second
hand equipment decided to take the plunge with
his partner and ventured out on their own setting
up their convenience store in Bacchus Marsh. At
the time of setting up their store and by sheer
coincidence the people at Lucky 7 popped to say
hi and talk about the Lucky 7 program, and where
they were going as a brand. To Scott it was an
easy fit for them and it gave them the best of both
worlds, being able to operate as an independent
convenience store, while having the backing of a
big banner behind them.

Ballan Football v
Daylesford
The Senior Blues continued
their good form on the road
with a strong win over old
rivals Daylesford. Mark Williams was in the thick of the
action playing all around the
ground. The Blues put in a
solid four quarters and had
winners in all key positions.
In ideal football conditions
the forwards were in form
and lined up the big sticks
with better accuracy than
last week.
With this win the Blues
have climbed to sixth position on the ladder and in two
weeks they will have a real
test against old foes Springbank at home.
Best - S. Campbell, A.
Speak, D. Nielsen, D. King,
Z. Peoples, M. Williams
Final score - Ballan 31.20 206 def Daylesford 3.9 - 27

The Reserves were also

blessed with ideal conditions
and had complete control
of the game. Rod Watts was
on fire up forward and had
the ball on a string. Hayden
Micallef continued his great
season opening form from
last week and Mark Dunne
added bite all over the
ground. This win has consolidated the Blues hold on
top spot and the next match
against Springbank sets first
against second on the ladder.
Sure to be a finals preview.
Best - R. Watts, K. Doyle,
C. Sharp, C. Despirt, H. Micallef, M. Dunne
Final Score - Ballan 26.12168 def Daylesford 1.4-10

In a firey encounter the Under 18s were under intense

pressure from the start. The
umpires had to control some
heated exchanges and several players were reported. The
Blues never gave up for the
whole match and certainly
showed that they could not
be intimidated. The boys
will welcome the weeks rest
to regain their composure.
Both coaches were under pressure throughout
the match and did a great
job keeping their troops
focused.
Best - L. Whyte-Marshall, A.
Bongart, D. Trickey, T. McGregor, L. Conlan, L. Snaith
Final Score- Ballan 7.4-46
lost Daylesford 11.7-73

The Under 15s took on a very

undermanned Daylesford
line up. The Blues opened
slowly but a stern rebuke at
quarter time from Peter McGregor pulled the boys into
line. They were instructed to
share the ball or share the
bench. It had the desired results with the Blues going on
a 16 goal kicking spree. The
Blues running brigade ran
their opponents ragged and
gave the forwards plenty of
opportunities.
Best - A. Blight, J. Botheras,
E. Shaw, J. Monaghan, L.
Trickey, C. Pascoe
Final Score - Ballan 19.13127 def Daylesford 0 0 0

The Under 12s had their

third win of the year by the
smallest of margins. Cody
Gates was again the key forward in a tough match.
Best - C Gates, T Cox, I Cox,
M Golding
Final Score - Ballan 1 2

BALLAN PLUMBING

Its just not football

Gordon Football
By Cameron Dunne
For a football team to
take to the field and get
thumped week after week
must be devastating, but the
Smythesdale senior coach
and his players never drop
their heads.
Despite Smythesdale losing at the Gordon ground
by 429 points last Saturday
their coach said they didnt
give up all day and were still
putting in 100 per cent effort
until the final siren.
They are a slick outfit and
thats what happens when
they stick together for such a
long period of time.
The Eagles fitness ran rings
around Smythesdale who
although applied good pressure on the ball, it was their
skills that truly let them
down.
Gordon hit the ground running from the first bounce
with Steve Nicholson kicking the first two goals of the
game. Tye Murphy proved
too big and strong through
the middle and young
Jaymes Gorman had too
much pace in the forward
line for his opponent. At
the end of the first quarter
Gordon had already put the
scoreboard tenders under
pressure with 99 points already scored.
The Eagles midfield and
back flanks came out in the
second quarter with the foot
still hard on the gas providing the forwards with
perfect delivery giving Nicholson another six for the
quarter and bringing Mick
Nolan into the contest, kicking six.
As the siren sounded for the
major break Gordon had already scored a huge total of

32.10 202.
The match didnt get any
better for Smythesdale with
the Eagles kicking three
quick goals in the first two
minutes of the third quarter.
Mick Nolan bagged five and
Addison Milners skills were
silky smooth and proved
a great get for Gordon in
all aspects of the game. For
Smythesdale, Dunbar was
still getting as much of the
ball as he could in the middle, helped out by ruckman
Ryland Rattley who performed well all day against
Gordons strong ruck attack.
At the last address for the
match Gordon coach Corey
Grills spoke to his senior
Eagles and demanded that
they stick to the structures,
..not back off and aim for
another 100 point quarter.
Grills moved a few players
around including taking
Brad Hallam out of defence
and putting him up forward
where he didnt disappoint,
getting himself on the 19
man long goal scoring list
along with Gerard Clifford
who kicked two. Smythesdale were awarded some
much deserved free kicks
but turned the ball over before allowing their forwards
a chance.
As the final siren sounded
to put Smythesdale out of
their misery, Gordon won by
a monstrous 429 points with
Nicholson breaking a club
goal kicking record with 19.
Mick Nolan ended up with
12 and had Gordon with
three of the top four in the
leagues leading goal kickers; Nicholson 37, McGuigan
25, Nolan 25.
In a post match address
coach Grills said it was really pleasing how the boys
stuck to it and played four
hard quarters of footy and
managed to stick to their
structures.
Final Score - Gordon 69.22436 defeated Smythesdale
1.1-7.

Ballan Netball
Round 6 Ballan v
Daylesford
13&Under B - Daylesford
def Ballan
13&Under - It was a tough
game against Daylesford
and it was goal for goal most
of the match. Lauren Alcock
and Bridget Casey stepped
up and made excellent contributions to the side from
the 13&Ub team. Lara Casey was superb in GD picking off ball after ball, but it
wasnt enough at the final
whistle. Best on court - Lauren Alcock, Daylesford 19
def Ballan 10.
15&Under - The scoreboard
did not show how well the
girls played. With a special
message from Alice Neeld
(up and coming Vixens recruit) reminding the girls
to keep positive and play
hard, they truly played up
to it. The centre court players really moved the ball
well through the court and
showed great improvement.
Best on court - Hannah Sfetcopoulos. Daylesford 22 def
Ballan 8.
17&Under - Ballan set-up
a nice win against a hard
fighting team. The girls were
relentless in defence keeping
Daylesford to just 8 goals.
Ballan defeated Daylesford
22 to 8. Best on Court - Samantha Trickey and Kyrstyn
Newtonslee.

C Grade - Ballan got off

to a strong start with little
separating the teams in the
first half. Ballans mid court
moved the ball well creating space and opportunities
for their goalers. Daylesford
took control in the second
half as Ballan struggled to
capitalise. Daylesford 32
defeated Ballan 16. Best on
court - Sam McKay.
B Grade The girls started
strongly by leading at every
change. The mid court took
control early with Bec Conroy and Bianca Gordon combining beautifully with the
goalers. Mel Conroy combined strongly with Kylie
Fenwick and Emily Boswell
bringing the ball down the
court. Ballan 35 def Daylesford 25. Best on court - Bec
Conroy.
A Grade After a slow
start to the match the girls
regained control half way
through the first quarter.
Nicole OBrien moved into
GS which provided a strong
target for the mid court.
Stacey Casella as always,
played a strong defence and
attacking game providing
numerous turn overs favouring Ballan. Peggy Shellard
played her usual consistent
game in her 150th game for
Ballan. Ballan 71 defeated
Daylesford 24. Best on court
- Sam Peoples.
