Thank you for your continued interest in the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (fCE)
287(g) Delegation of Authority program, which cross-designates state ,md local officers to
enforce immigrarion law as authorized through cction 287(g) of the fnunigration and
Nationality Act. I am ple.:'lsed to write to notify you that Julie L. Myers, Assistant Secretary for
r E, has given tentative approval to your request for the 287(g) Delegation of Authority.
This tentative approval authorizes the Office of State and Local Coordination to begin the next
stage of the process and draft the standardized Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) that will
establish the set terms and conditions of the relationship between ICE and your la\v enforcement
agency for the duration of ourpmtJ1ership. Final approval of the agreement is contingent upon
the successful negotiation of this MOA with r spect to the scope and limitations of duties,
responsibilities and liabilities associated witll the performance of immigration law enforcement.
