The Desert Passage
A massive road dug underneath
the desert, wide enough for several
wagons to pass through, and complete
with several checkpoints. Tremors and
cave-ins may occur, but to the
Dwarves and Adventurers who choose
this route, it is nothing compared to
the dangers of the Desert above.
Prison Mines of Rhul
Little more than a large pit
going down for a seemingly endless

distance, Prisoners of Rhul and of


nearby nations who commit such acts
as to warrant a life imprisonment are
often sent here. Long since has this
particular mine run dry, now prisoners
of it create their own tunnels to
expand for intakes. Provided with a
source of water, food in the form of
what little vegetation grows and
vermin, they live out their lives looking
quite literally at the light at the top of
the shaft, creating a sense of false
hope crushed more with each passing
day.

Anti-Magic Field
Magical resonance from the
rune-carved stone used by the
Dwarves in the construction of their
mighty city has the unique ability to
ward off magic. Many think this was a
defense against the Elves in the
ancient times, which may explain
some enmity between the races, while
others speculate it comes from a
distrust of arcane casters in general.
The first time attempting to cast a
spell while within the Anti-Magic Field
of the Dwarves, they must succeed at
a Will Saving Throw (DC 35) or be
stricken with the Negated spellblight.
The spell is still negated from the
effects of the Anti-Magic Field,
regardless of the result.
