5. Things to bring on the PBT test day

Things to bring
- Passport (Examinees must bring their passport which is the same
with the one attached on the application form. If not, the test taker
can't take the test)
- Admission Ticket
- Black colored pen

Things not to bring: Electronic and communication devices

such as mobile phones, PDA, correction fluid, tapes, etc.

7. Notice for PBT Examinee

Check the Test Venue and Date & Time exactly(Examinee can
take the test only at the designated test venue and Date & Time).
Since Manila will be conducting the test for Two (2) days, Saturday

and Sunday, test takers will only be accommodated on his/her

designated Date & Time at Designated Venue. So kindly check your
schedule accordingly.
On the test date, one set of test paper and one answer sheet will
be distributed to every applicant and the applicant's name,
registration number and designated type of test paper will be
printed(marked) already on each answer sheet.
- An applicant should confirm his/her name and registration number
which are printed on his/her answer sheet when receiving the
answer sheet. An applicant also should receive the same type of test
paper with the printed type of test paper on the answer sheet(type
A,B,C or D).
- Any mistakes or errors caused by the type of test paper are on the
responsible of the applicant. For this reason, all applicants should
confirm the type of test paper which he/she receives is the same
with the one printed on the answer sheet before the test starts.
Only one answer sheet will be distributed for each applicant,
Replacement and Modification of answer sheet is not permitted. so
examinee must complete the answer sheet carefully
- Correction of answers on the answer sheet with correction fluid or
tapes will be regarded as wrong answer.
Verification of identity by face will be conducted by
proctors(including HRD Korea Proctor), so examinee must bring
passport on test day. (if not, can't take the test)
Applicants must use black color pen when mark the answer.
(answers marked with a pencil or other color pen shall be regarded
as invalid)
During the test, Applicants can't use the toilet and can't leave the
test room(If leave the test room during the test, his/her test would
regarded as invalid or cheating)
Having and Using of electronic and communication devices such as
mobile phones, PDA, and etc is prohibited anywhere in the test

venue during the test day(if examinee have or use them during test,
he/she will be regarded as cheater)
In case of Cheating during the test, test will be void and examinee
will NOT be eligible for taking the test for 2 years.

7. Notice for CBT Examinee

Check the Test Venue and Date & Time exactly(Examinee can take
the test only at the designated test venue and Date & Time).
On the test date, The applicant should confirm his name and
registration number, passport number, date of birth on the personal
information sheet during the orientation time.
Once you click the answer during the test, you cant change the
answer.
During the test, Applicants can't use the toilet and can't leave the
test room(If leave the test room during the test, his/her test
would regarded as invalid or cheating)
Having and Using of electronic and communication devices such as
mobile phones, PDA, and etc is prohibited anywhere in the test
venue during the test day(if examinee have or use them during
test, he/she will be regarded as cheater)
In case of Cheating during the test, test will be void and examinee

applicants can take the CBT practice test through the web site below.
If the practice test is not working, please adjust your computers
resolution. Website: epstopik.hrdkorea.or.kr

For better understanding, we suggest that you watch the video with
script first and then take the CBT practice afterwards.
9. Reminders for CBT test takers (Actual test day)
o Step by Step Procedure in taking the CBT
- Arrival on the CBT Venue -> Verification of Information ->
Orientation -> CBT Practice -> Actual Test (READING and
LISTENING)

Verify your personal Information

- Check your personal information on the sheet
Specifically the following: PICTURE / REGISTRATION NUMBER /
PASSPORT NUMBER / DATE OF BIRTH / JOB CATEGORY
- If you see anything wrong, please write the correct one on the
sheet
And then put your signature
- Go to restroom before the orientation starts
You will not be allowed to leave once the orientation starts
- The Computer Based Test or the CBT has two parts:

First part is the READING And the second part is the LISTENING
- Each has twenty five questions
Each question is equivalent to four points
- The total score is two hundred
* Passers will be selected based on the test result (from the top scorer)
among those who scored 80 or higher (Full score: 200 points) - You must get
80 over two hundred in order to pass the test but the passing rate will still
be dependent on the top scorer basis (You may still fail if your score is above
80)

Test Practice
You will have ten minutes to practice
It has 10 questions;
5 questions and six minutes for reading
5 questions and four minutes for listening
You may adjust the volume of your head phones
Since this is a test, CHEATING is strictly prohibited
Please be reminded that this room is monitored by CCTV cameras
Cameras are located in each corner
And this test will be recorded.
-The type of questionnaire will be distributed differently on each
side of you: FRONT, BACK, LEFT and RIGHT.
-You may see the same question on your friends monitor but the

order of answer is not same.

-You will be disqualified if we caught you cheating.
-And you will be banned to take the test for two years.
-Leave all your belongings on the waiting table.
-Turn off your electronic devices before you transfer to the test
room.
*Dont worry about your belongings

The waiting room is monitored and has CCTV recording it.

If we caught you carrying any electronic devices inside the test

room, you will be regarded as a cheater.

The Reading Test

- It has twenty five questions: To answer the question, click your
number of choice
- Once you click the answer, you cannot change the answer
- If you dont know or you are not sure which answer is correct, you
may skip it by clicking the NEXT icon to go to the next question
You can move forward or backward by using the previous, next icon
*This function is only for READING TEST, not to LISTENING TEST*

- Even if you finish the READING test early, you have to wait before

you can start the listening test until the remaining time of reading
test goes to zero.
- So, dont forget to check your remaining time to manage test
time efficiently.
- Put your head phones five minutes in advance before the
LISTENING test.

The Listening Test

-It has twenty five questions.
-You will listen to the questions twice.
-On the first time you hear the question, analyze it first
Click the answer as soon as you hear it the second time.
-Dont forget to click the answer on the second time you hear the
question.
-If you dont click any answer, your score will automatically be zero.
*Please be reminded that the LISTENING test does not have
a PREVIOUS or a NEXT icon.
-It is synchronized. It will automatically go to the next question
after the given period of time.
