B. Lesson Background:
The objective of this a class to learn the clothes vocabulary and to practice the present simple.
Previous to this class, the students have learned the present simple so in this lesson they will
practice it and at the same time they will be acquiring new vocabulary.
In a previous class I will form 10 groups with 5 members based on personality, I will assigned
randomly if they will work with men or women clothes. I will also pay attention that there will be
men and women in each team, because this is very important for the activity. I will give them
images from the Oxford Picture Dictionary where is shown the vocabulary, they will have to
review and check the images at home. They will be also asked to take to the class personal
clothes to dress a man or a woman, according to what was assigned.
During the class they will be working in teams, the students will receive a series of images of
clothes with their own description, which will be taken from fashion magazines. Using this
material and the vocabulary received in the previous class they have to create an outfit for man
or woman depending on the assignation given and make the description. After that they will

F. Reflection - Week 2:
This lesson will provide the students the opportunity to work with authentic material, where they
will see in a real fashion magazine how clothes are describe. They will also have the opportunity
to learn and practice this vocabulary and way of description using realia, I think that this make
them use their own resources to expand their creativity and their vocabulary. As the activity
includes a description, it will help not only to learn new words but to practice grammar (present
simple). This activity is plan to practice all the skills (reading, speaking, grammar, writing), so I
can say that it integrates several aspects to improve the students learning. Talking about
competencies, the activity help students to express their selves and to work in groups so they
learn to respect others likes and personalities, which are objectives of the high school system in
Mexico. The lesson is appropriate for teenagers because in this age they are always aware of
fashion trends, so this fills their interests.
